Demi
Joe and I stepped onto the plane. We still hadn't decided anything really about our wedding, but trust me we were both excited for it.
We were going to Texas to visit my family for a little bit. It's been 5 months since I've seen them. However, ever since I'd gotten close with them again it's harder to be away from them.
Joe held my hand. "I'm really not looking forward for a 3 hour flight," He told me. I grinned at him and handed him an ear bud.
He grabbed it and put it in his left ear, while I had the right. I put on the song Lost Boy by Ruth B. I had really been into softer music lately. Which is weird considering I'm a heavy metal, grunge, punk type of girl.
The flight actually went by surprisingly quick. I mostly slept the whole time. It was 9 hours from Paris to New York.
Then we had to catch another flight from New York to Dallas. That flight was about 3 hours, but I was definitely ready to leave.
"Is your mom here yet?" Joe asked. I shrugged. "She should be. They said they were would be here when I talked to them in New York," I told joe.
I was getting worried for a minute because my parents always keep their word.
Joe tapped my shoulder. "Baby, there she is," Joe told me. I turned around and saw my mother standing there in the flesh.
My eyes widened and I ran into her arms and hugged her. "I've missed you momma," I told her. She kissed my forehead. "I've missed you too pumpkin," she told me.
Joe walked over and hugged my mom kissing the top of her head. "Hey Momma D," He said using the nickname he'd given my mom since her name is Dianna.
"I'll go get the luggage and you guys can head out to the car," Joe said. I nodded and my mom and I headed toward the doors to the parking lot.
As we drove through the city and into the country on the way to my house, I was thinking. When I was younger, I'd always wanted to get married in my back yard, and have my reception in our barn.
Of course, we'd have to move the animals out, but I had my heart set on a country wedding.
I'm not sure if it's feasible at this point, but something just won't let me say no to that dream.
Joe
I honestly really love Dallas. If demi ever decides to retire, I would actually be okay with getting rid of the old apartment up in New York and moving down here to Colleyville.
I'm definitely not a country person by any means, but I love the vibe and deminor of people down here. Everyone is so kind.
If this is the kind of place that produces people and dreamers like demi, this is definitely somewhere I could see myself raising some kids.
"Joe," Demi told me. We were laying in her old bedroom at her parents' house. Everyone else was asleep. "Yeah?" I asked.
I was a little tired, I had to admit. But I'm not going to deny her the chance to talk to me if she has something to say.
"I've been thinking about this wedding," she told me. "What about it?" I asked her.
"Well, it's just ever since I was a little girl I've always wanted to have my wedding in my backyard, and a big barn reception. I don't know how you feel about that. I know it'll be hard, it's just hard for me to let it go. I really want to do it," she told me.
I actually like the idea. It sounds pretty neat. Plus, there's a lot of room down here. My family could come for the wedding. It'll be great.
"Babe," I started. "I love the idea. And ANYTHING you want for this wedding, you can do. I'll go with anything," I told her kissing her head.
I rubbed my thumb back and forth on her arm. "You're the best," she told me giving me a small peck on the lips.
