Train

Echo's POV

The doors had closed. I look at Acidalia, a tear runs down my cheek. I walk ahead of Acidalia trying not to look back. The train seemed bigger than what I remembered. The inside was full of food and seats. As soon as I saw all the food I start getting mad.  Why are they wasting so many food on a train when people in my district are starving. Effie takes each one of us to our rooms. My room was the biggest bedroom I have ever seen. A few minutes later Effie walks in and tells me that dinner is served. I walk out and see everyone was waiting for me. I quickly sit down and start to eat. I heard someone walk behind me and see a man, he reminded me of someone. It was Lucas Berry, one of our victors.

"Echo, Acidalia, Finn. I present to you your mentor Lucas Berry." There was silence.

"Hey." Lucas says.

So far he looks pretty lame, but we need to give him time. 

"Hi. " Replies Finn.

I don't think Lucas is going to be much help, but maybe he can help us with some skills. We continue to eat in silence. After I ate I head to my room. I turned off the lights and tried to sleep. In the morning I don't feel too good. I guess it's just the speed the train is going at. I head to eat breakfeast and I see Lucas and Acidalia were already awake. We ate breakfeast and I head to the back of the train. I could see the nice green forest, it was beautiful. Acidalia came and joined me after. We just looked outside for a moment and then the green forest turned into cement and gray. We were entering another district.

"What district is this? " She asks me.

"7 I think. " 

"It's awful. " She says in disgust.

The nice green forest is gone. It looks so dry and sandy. I saw little kids trying to get to shade because the sand was burning their feet. Days pass and so do districts. I tried to stay in my room the most possible because every time I saw kids starving and hurt. We finally got to the Capitol. It was so big and full of unessesary things. I remember the kids in district 11 they were all starving and here they are all happy with all their toys. At the last moment Lucas decides to speak.

"Hey, we should probably go over a few things together."

"About time." I answer snarkily.

"Ok. When we're in trouble what do we do? " Finn asks, tying to get some tips. 

"Um I don't know there are many answers to that question. You could run, fight, hide, it's your choice." Lucas walks away.

"Is he that stupid or is he trying to get us killed?" Acidalia asks with a sneer.

"I don't know but we should try and listen to the smart things he says, not the the stupid ones. " Finn answers.

"If there is any smart things." I say.

Effie comes in and tells us that it's time to go.
