The next morning, Harry took Draco to visit Scorpius in St Mungos. They walked through the doors, past reception, into the intensive care. Scorpius may be alive but he wasn't in a good way. Scorpius had his own separate room because of his unstableness. As Draco placed his hand on the door to open it, He let out a nervous sigh and Harry touched his shoulder, to show he was there for him. Draco opened the door and gasped. There, lying still on the hospital bed was his son. He was a truly horrid grey colour and looked very uncomfortable. His eyes were shut but you could clearly see the redness of them, poking through the thin layer of skin.
Draco rushed to his side and grabbed his hand.
"Scorp. Its me, Dad. Please wake up." Draco said, his eyes filling up with unwanted tears. "I need you." At this point the tears fell and Harry rushed over to his side and held him in a tight embrace. He gave Draco a soft kiss on the cheek to calm him.
"Would you like a coffee or something Dray? I can leave you here alone together for a while then." Harry asked. Draco nodded and went back to holding his only sons hand.
Harry went out of the room and to the cafeteria. The coffee machine took a while to work and Harry was beginning to worry about leaving Draco on his own for that long. After twenty minutes, Harry finally returned to the ward.
He slowly walked in the room and placed the coffee on the small table st the end of the bed. He looked up to see Draco sitting silently, gazing into space.
"He's the only person i have left. He's going to leave me. Just like everyone else." Draco whispered, not blinking and still staring.
"Draco Lucius Malfoy. You will not think like that. Scorpius is so lucky to have a father like you. He loves you and nothing will change that." Harry sat next to him and hugged him. "Albus is here and wants to see him. Is that ok?" Harry asked.
"Of course." Draco answered.
Albus walked into the room and his face dropped when he saw his best friend half dead on a hospital bed. He made his way over to Scorpius and stood by the side of the bed. A silent tear ran down his face.
"Oh come here." Harry said, standing up and walking over to him. He wrapped Albus in a hug as the tears started soaking into his clothes. After a few minutes, Albus had calmed down and wasn't crying anymore.
There was a knock at the door and in walked Professor Mcgonagall.
"Professor?" Harry asked, looking highly confused.
"Hello Potter. Nice to see you again. Never thought i would see you both in the same room civilised." She smiled and then turned to Scopious. "How is he?"
Draco couldn't answer so Harry did it for him.
"He's better. Not well enough to come off life support though." He said quietly.
She gave Draco a sympathetic smile who was sat there with his head in his hands. She walked over to him and sat down.
"Malfoy. You are a strong man. You will get through this i know it. And if Scorpius is anything like you, he will too." Draco sighed in return. "I h-hope." He said with a small voice.
"Well then, I'd better leave you now. I have a lot of Hogwarts business to be getting on with." She stood up and patted Dracos hand. As she walked past Harry, she gave him a warm smile.
"If you ever need to, you can come to Hogwarts and you will both be welcomed with open arms."
"Thank you Professor."
"No problem Potter."
