(Danielle's POV)

As soon as I heard the front door slam, I felt awful about everything I'd said to Roxxi... But she had started it!

Deciding it was pointless hiding in my room sulking, I slipped on my shoes and grabbed a jacket before heading out of the house myself.

After wandering aimlessly down the street for half an hour I whipped out my phone and dialled my best friend, other than Rox of course...

In fact, she was my only friend apart from Roxxi... Everyone else at college thought I was a freak. And they were right.

"Crystal!" I practically screamed into my mobile.

There was a loud crack on the other end of the line and some shuffling, "Don't do that Dani!!" my friend scolded seriously.

"What was that cracking noise?" I giggled, "Did you just drop your phone??"

Crystal scoffed, "No..." but I could tell by the guilty tone she said it in that my guess was right.

"Wanna go to a party tonight??"

There was a long moment of silence as I wandered in the general direction of Crystal's student house, in case she said yes...

She made an unsure noise, "I'm not sure... We're not usually invited to parties Dan." was her hesitant reply.

I knew that wasn't her only reason for not wanting to go... Because all the bullying and sneers were nothing compared to what would happen if I got angry.

"Oh come on CJ!" I pleaded loudly, "It'll be fun!!"

Crystal sighed at her nickname, "Fine... Is Roxxi coming with us??" she questioned me.

My face lit up as I began walking a little faster, "Yay! And no... She's gone hunting." I told her, my tone becoming dark towards the end of my sentence.

"Oh..."

Crystal knew all about me and Rox and had been friends with us since our first day in Uni... But I had always noticed she had a weird obsession with Roxxi. And I guessed it was because she wanted to be like her...

"Don't worry Crystal... I'll be good." I smirked as I knocked on her door.

Once she'd hung up, I enveloped my friend in a big thank you hug once she opened her door.

"Can't... Breathe..." she squeaked as I embraced her tightly.

Looking guiltily at the floor I stepped away, "You ready??" I asked enthusiastically.

Crystal nodded slowly and bent down to pull her shoes on, "Are you sure about this Dan?? I mean, what if--"

"Shush with the 'what ifs' already! I'm just going to have fun and pass the time... I'm not gonna pick a fight or anything!" I assured her with a roll of my eyes.

Once Crystal had touched up her thick eyeliner, we headed out to Liam's house where he was having a party... Liam was the richest guy in school. And when his parents weren't inhabiting their massive house, their son would have parties and trash it.

With a smile I turned to see Crystal looking up at the house nervously, "Stop panicking! We're meant to be having fun!" I reminded her, dragging her into the large house.

The entrance hall was jam packed full of bodies, all milling about and there was even a girl grinding up against the banister...

"Where on earth have you brought me Danielle?" Crystal hissed in my ear as I led her through the crowd.
