the sun's rays engulfed your back as you had your back turned & facing the swimming pool. you sat on the edge of the pool as you watch your feet swish in the water.

"c'mon in y/n," a shirtless connor shifted in the pool as he inched toward you, the sprinkles of water on his skin glistening in the sun.

"no, i don't wanna get wet," you chuckled.

then all of a sudden connor put his hands in the water and gestured to throw it back at you.

"don't you dare," you threatened.

connor did the exact opposite as he splashed the water on you, throwing you off guard as he took you by the waist and pulled you into the pool. but he so effortlessly pulled you close onto his damp body, his arm grasping your lower back, as you, instinctively, wrap your arm around the back of his neck, ruffling the back of his hair.

he chuckled as he watched you wipe the water from your face and add in "you're so mean," in between.

"is it too late now to say sorry?" he shrugged his shoulders.

this immediately had the both of you erupt in laughter, but it soon diminished into a smile as you notice the close proximity between
each other's faces. suddenly, your expression became serious as you both felt the increased beating of your hearts in unison while leaning closer.

both your lips fell onto each other's for a split second until you heard the faint sound of riley's voice, which slowly faded this image from your head as your mind came into a blank state, realizing you had been dreaming. with your eyes still closed, you stirred a little, aware that you had your head resting on riley's chest.

'why was i laying on riley?' you wondered, since it contradicted to the fact that you had dreamt of connor. but it wasn't a dream, it was a memory of your summer with him. but now it was winter, where did the time go? what happened between you and him? as the weather got colder, did your feelings for each other get cold too?
