You don't know why this happened, but here you were, sitting next to the hospital bed that held your best friend, Takashi Morinozuka.
Why would he do this?
You've known how depressed he was for years now but you never thought he would do this.
-Flash back- (2 hours earlier)
Knock Knock
"Mori!"
You're at your best friends place, knocking on the door but he won't answer.
KNOCK KNOCK
"MORI!"
You take the spare key from on top of the door frame and unlock the door. You walk in to find nothing.
"Mori?"
'He's probably still sleeping' you think to yourself.
You walk over to the bedroom door. You open the door to find the scene that you've been hoping to never find.
There's Mori, laying lifeless and pale on the floor with blood soaking through his sleeves.
"MORI!!!"
You run over to him. You place your hand on his neck, hoping to find a pulse.
'Oh thank god.' You find a very faint pulse, but a pulse nevertheless.
You whip out your phone and call 911.
-End of flashback-
"Why would you do this?" You whisper quietly to yourself.
Suddenly the door opens with a quiet squeak.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Visiting hours ended 10 minutes ago." The nurse says.
"Oh, okay." You say, and with that you leave the hospital.
-Time skip- (Moris place)
You don't know why you came here but your gut just told you too.
You slowly walked into the bedroom, still guided by your gut. You took 3 steps in and just stopped. You let your yes can the room, when something caught your attention.
You noticed his digital camera. You where just drawn to it, you two had recorded so many good memories on that camera. You picked it up and started to flip through the videos.
You had had so many fun times with him, like when you decided to wake him up with an air horn, or when you put cooking oil on the kitchen floor.
Before you could stop them, a few silent tears rolled down your cheeks, knowing the your best friend is in the hospital, clinging to life.
After a couple more awesome pranks videos, you came across a video you've never seen before. You looked at the date and time and it said it was filmed at 3:32am that morning.
"What the hell?" You whispered, as you hit play.
The video starts with Mori just sitting there looking own at his lap. He took a deep breath and started talking.
"Hey, whoever is watching this. Um... I just wanted to start off by saying that I'm sorry. I know that's a stupid thing to say but either way, I'm saying it. When your watching this, I'm most likely dead. I want to say I'm sorry to my family and to all of my friends, especially Huni and (Y/N). I know I should be stronger than this but I'm not. I can't keep living, feeling so just, sad. So, again, I'm just so sorry.
And whoever is watching this, please make sure (Y/N) watches this, I have something I want to tell (her/him).
(Y/N), I love you. I have felt this way for awhile now, and I just wish I could tell you in person but I always get too nervous to say it.
Well, to everybody who knows me, I'm sorry and...

The screen goes blank.
You had been so focused on the video that you hadn't noticed the mass amounts of tears streaming down your face.
You payed down on his soft bed and cried yourself to sleep. That night , all you dreamed about was Mori.
-The next day-
You had gotten to the hospital at 10:30 that morning. It was now 1:10 and all you had done was sit there holding his hand, hoping he would wake up.
-Time skip- (2:30)
You were still sitting there holding his hand, when his body jerked a bit making your eyes snap to him. You saw his eyelids flutter open to reveal his beautiful, dark grey eyes.
"(Y/N)" He says quietly.
"MORI" you practically screamed.
You hugged him tightly around his neck.
"(Y/N), I can't breathe." Mori said with a chuckle.
"Oh, sorry Mori. I'm just so excited that you're awake." You said smiling uncontrollably.
He everted his eyes.
"I'm so sorry, (Y/N). I just, ... Ugh!" He seemed like he couldn't find the right words to say.
"Its okay Mori." You said with a kind smile, " Also, I, uh, watched your video."
At those words, his face went as red as a tomato.
"Oh! Uh, ... I, uh..." He stuttered.
You put your finger to his lips, silently telling him to shut up. The. You leaned down to his ear and whispered,
"I love you too."
