Epilogue

THE DAY HAS COME!!!!!! THE MOVIE IS FINALLY HERE!!!! Please enjoy this very last chapter of "The countdown". I hope you guys enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

2 years and six months later....

Tigress felt a wave of exhaustion come over her as she laid in bed, again feeling completely helpless. Of course, she had felt like that for a long time at that point.

Po sat beside her on the bed and gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek. "How are you feeling?" he asked. "Besides ready to rip off my head?"

"That feeling passed by a few minutes ago," Tigress assured him. "Now I feel so tired I want to just fall asleep."

Po chuckled. "I'm sure you do," he acknowledged. "But maybe you might want to hold off on that for a bit."

A squirming babble from Po's arms got their attention and the Dragon Warrior offered the small bundle to his wife. Tigress smiled and gathered up her strength to take the new baby and cuddle him. He was no bigger than  a bread pan and was currently wrapped up in Tigress' old baby blanket. The master gently rocked him, lifting a weak paw to trace the small yin-yang mark on the baby's forehead.

"Was this what he looked like in your vision?" Tigress asked.

"Pretty much," Po replied with a smile. He gently stroked the baby's chin, causing the tiny black and white hybrid to coo and snuggle deeper into the blanket. "You know," he added. "We should pick out a name for him."

"Can't we do that later once I've taken a quick nap?"

Po smirked. "You're starting to sound like me," he noted.

"Well, I am tired, Po."

"I know. But you'll feel better when you take a nap and wake up knowing you can actually call him by a name."

Tigress watched the little baby close his eyes and fall asleep, his tiny chest moving up and down with every breath. "Well, alright," she said finally. "If you insist. But not without Dai."

"I know. We won't give out names without him. Although dad's already given out suggestions."

"Which one?"

"Both of them."

Almost three months after first meeting Dai, Tigress watched him continually get rejected by skeptical parents who were a bit afraid to adopt him. She had felt bad for him and finally considered adopting the child herself even though she was terrified of messing up at being a parent. Master Shifu, having just returned from a week-long honey-moon, assured her that he had gone through a similar situation when adopting both her and Tai Lung. (And almost completely screwing up with Tigress due to undergoing his son's recent betrayal). Despite some of his flaws however, Shifu still took good care of the two. And even when he had moments where he felt like he was failing, there was always Master Oogway to lend a helping hand when needed. Likewise, she wouldn't always be perfect, but even if she thought she was doing something wrong, she'd have her friends as well as himself to help guide her. Tigress had gratefully accepted the advice and started to set up a space for the little crocodile. Unfortunately, the next time adoption day rolled around, a young couple decided to take Dai home with them, leaving the master feeling upset since she had been looking forward to taking him home. The masters helped to console her with the disappointment, after which she finally returned to her normal temperament, though it was slightly tainted with sadness.

An entire year passed by afterwards. Mr.Ping and Scorpion continued to date, Po visited Li and Bao for a month, (though Mei-Mei was clearly less than thrilled to see Tigress accompany him), Crane and Viper made their dating known almost immediately while Tigress and Po took about seven months to make it public, Quan-Ying and Mantis broke up several times before Mantis finally asked her to marry him, the valley was bombarded with several nasty attacks from kimonos but they were soon defeated, and Po got another vision of the islands he had seen months earlier where he learned that Tai Lung had started to improve in terms of recovery, something he was more than happy to pass on to Shifu who was relieved to know of his son's repentance.
