Chapter 34
"Hey Babe" Chad said
I didnt want to think about what Ben said is true. It can't be, I mean come on, he said it himself he loves me. Does he? Or hes playing me?
"Babe? You ok?" Chad said again and it knocked me out of my deep thought.
"Wha-What?" I said.
"I said are you ok?"
"Yeah, im good. Just-- umm-- Tired"
"Ok. Lunch is almost done, so lets go back to class"
"Ok"
Chad and I walked inside the school and he walked me to my locker. He kept talking about something, but I just half-smiled, and halfed-nooded.
"I'll walk you to your class" Chad said
"No! I mean I can walk myself there, You know, your going to be late and all" I said, trying to look calm. For some reason I didnt want to be around him right now.
What if he is using me? What if he dosnt really want me? What if?
"Umm.. Ok? I'll see you after school then" He said.
"Yeah. Sure"
I walked away. Im walking to the science room when a teenage girl I dont recognize handing me a flier. I accepted it and looked through it. Its a pink piece of paper that said 'PROM! PUTTING ON THE RITZ' In big bold letters. I forgot the prom is in a 2 months. Holy crap! its like yesterday me and Reina was just at the store trying to find a dress, and then Chad almost hit me with his bike. I miss Reina. What happened to us?
My day went by fast. I grabbed all my stuff, but I was struggling, Should I let Chad give me a ride? Or shouldnt I? I mean im good with walking but I dont feel like it. But i just need time to think by myself. I dont know what to think anymore. I walked out the front door to pass the parking lot where Chad would most likely be in and started walking home. I could use the excersize anyway.
Im half way home when I heard a honk from behind me. I looked back and there he is. Chad. Chad Allen. Fuck!
"What the hell Annabella?" He said slowing down and looking out the window.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you, I feel like walking today" I lied.
"Whats wrong babe? You've been acting wierd since lunch?" He said turning the ignition off and stepping out the car. "I'll walk without"
"No!" I almost yelled putting my hands infront of me signaling for him to stop.
"What?" He said looking at me wierdly.
"Well. Your house is farther than mine, and you can't just leave your car here, and it dosnt feel right"
"Im your boyfriend Annabella, im walking with you"
The word 'Boyfriend' makes me shiver. What if all of this is all a game?
"Come one" He said signaling me to come.
"Umm... but.. umm" I struggled to find the right words to say
"Whats wrong?" He said walking towards me "Theres something wrong, I know it. Please tell me"
"I.. uhh. I.. I just think you should take your car, thats all"
In a blink of an eye me and him were inside his car.
"Tell me" He said looking straight in my eyes that I think my soul just melted.
"Nothing"
"Annabella"
"Do you just want me because you can use me to get the throne back?"
---Shit! I did not just say that outloud---
"What?" He said
