Chapter 10...
Raffie
At the party...
"You should at least do the line dance, Raff," says Rhia.
I shake my head. "Go ahead. You could do it without me." I say.
Finally, Rhia gives up on convincing me to do the line dance and joins the crowd.
The party's theme is western that's why there is line dancing.
I watch her enjoy the night at the same time, looking for Javier. Telling him my decision.
I got up from my seat and went to the balcony to breath some fresh air. I then heard "Boys Like You" and started swaying to the beat and snapping my fingers. Then I air guitared, then air piano.
The next thing I knew was that I was dancing, the moves were the ones that I've been thinking whenever I hear or listen to the song.
I felt someone come and dance with me.
When the song ended, I looked behind me.
It was him.
"So," says Javier. "What's your answer?"
He was a bit out of breath when he asked me.
I shake my head. "No."
"What?!" He says.
He runs a hand through his hair and tries to calm himself down.
"But why?" He asks.
"I don't want to commit the same mistakes I did before."
"Then tell me what is that mistake so that I could understand," he says, hitting his chest lightly.
I felt the tears coming. I immediately leave him there in the balcony and went back inside.

The party ended around midnight. I got on the bed immediately, not caring if I have to clean or something.
But why?
Aaahhhhhh. Javier! I thought
His words were coming back, something's telling me that I could trust him, only that I'm sacred to tell him.
"Hey!"
I woke up. Rhia was beside me, her hand on my shoulder.
"Are you okay?" She asks.
I nodded. "Yeah. Why?"
"You started sleep-talking so I thought of shaking you out of that bad dream."
"Well, thanks then," I say, putting my hand on top hers.
"And also to wake you up to change and clean up."
I looked at the clock on the bedside table.
"It's only 1:30 in the morning," I say.
"Another reason for you to get up."
I swing my legs out of the bed and stood up. "Fine," I say exasperatedly.
Older siblings be like....eh!
Next morning...
"WAKE UP! WAKE UUUPPP!!!"
I woke to Rhia's scream got knocked out of the bed. I just found myself on the floor and my butt aching because of the fall.
"What's up with you and that racket of yours?" I ask.
"He's here!" She says.
"Who?!" I ask.
"Ja—"
The time I heard the first letter of his name, I got up and ran to the door.
I cracked the door open a bit, there he was😓. Javier was talking to my parents, Raymond was in the room, part of the conversation.
I look back at my sister. "What's he doing here?" I whisper-shout at her.
She shrugs.
I look at the people in the living room.
I'm dead, I thought.
