Chapter 21...

+Raffie+

"I'll pick you up later!" Javier exclaimed.

"What time?" I asked, from the porch.

He showed me six fingers. I nodded.

I blew him a kiss before he drove out of the driveway, and he pretended to catch and brought it to his lips. I waved him goodbye, and sighed.

"Well, someone's in love."

I look over my shoulder. It was just my mom.

Then I thought about what she said. Yeah, maybe I am in love. Maybe I should —

"So," she says, rubbing my shoulder, taking me out of my thinking state. "How's the day of my baby girl?" She put both of her hands on my shoulders.

I look at her and shook my head. "But I'm not a baby anymore," I whine.

She giggled in reply.

"You'll always be my baby to me. But really, how was your day?" She asked.

I shrug. "Tired, I guess."

"Is that all?" She continues.

"Uhm, I'll go out for dinner later?" It sounded more like a question than a statement.

"Oh.." Mom smiled. She suddenly hip bumped me.

"My girl's maturing," she teased. "Anyway, you don't need to ask permission. He already asked for you."

I smiled and kissed my mother on the cheek.

'Thanks Mom!"

I ran inside the house, heading for my room.

"Rhia!!!!" I screamed by the time I entered the room.

I stopped at my tracks from what I was seeing.

Rhia pulled away from Dominic, her all time crush since like, I don't know, forever, and they were kissing!

I gasped. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" I screamed and immediately closed the door.

I leaned my back on the door and let out a breathe, that I didn't know I was holding.

"Hey, what's wrong? Looks like you saw a ghost or something," says Raymond.

"It's worst than a ghost, brother. It's worst," I say, nodding my head.

His forehead creased with confusion. Then he stepped back a little. "Wait, don't tell me what I'm thinking is true."

I nodded in confirmation.

The door suddenly opened, and presented my sister and her maybe-boyfriend, Dominic Jacob Kingsley.

I stepped away, like I touched a very hot pan after cooking, and stood beside Raymond, arms crossed. 🙅

"Uhm...." Rhia hummed.

"It's not what you think," Dom started.

Raymond and I raised an eyebrow.

"Really? It's not what I think?" I asked.

"What we think?" Ray said, waving his hand for emphasis.

Rhia was fidgeting with the hem of her shirt, showing how nervous she is on how to explain to us, her younger siblings.

"Oh dang it! Stop fidgeting and come here!" I motioned Rhia to hug me, and simply obliged. She hugged me tight in return.
