Chapter 13...

Raffie

No, this isn't happening.

I'm part of the Green Bandits?

But I told him no.

This boy is really stubborn and doesn't take no as answer.

Everyone started welcoming me and are all hoping that I'll be their new hope to make it to the top.

They started to disperse and went back to their routines. I saw Javier go to a corner and talk to a tall, blonde guy. I went towards them and cleared my throat. They both look at me.

"Can I talk to Javier for second?" I ask the guy.

He smiles. "Sure." He says, hands in his pockets. "By the way, the name is Joey."

He left the two of us and joins the others. He goes towards a petite looking girl with doe like eyes.

"So."

I stopped observing when I heard Javier talk and remembered what my business was him.

"Why did you say I'm part of the group?" I whisper-yell at him.

He looks down at his shoes.

"Look the group was desperate. Ever since we started, we haven't won a single contest yet." He says.

I nod.

"And we need money to save this building." He indicates the place with his hand.

This made me think deeply.

I think I would do the same if I were in his shoes. If this was part of my life, I would fight for the place and would do anything to keep it here or there.

I nod. "I'll think about this issue of me joining, okay?"

He looks up, "Sure!" he says, with hope evident in his eyes and tone.

I smile.

He goes to his dance group and I watch them for a while. They all do warm up exercises, then breathing exercises, until they were all ready to dance again.

"All right guys, the song is from Pentatonix." He says.

Everybody cheers to the news. They start clapping and it started to become noisy. Javier quiets them all.

"Okay! I see we're all excited," he says. "The song is, by the way, 'La La Latch'."

They reacted to that again.

A smile crept in my lips, and I realized that I have moves for it.

I'll just tell him, I thought.

"Alright, let's do this thang!" he says.

And they start to dance.

A few hours later...

Sorry but I cannot believe what I just saw.

They were f***ing good!

As in legit professional good. Judges in the contests they joined picked the wrong champions for those contests.

I can't help it. I gotta help them and not watch them from here, feeling useless.

They were having a break for thirty minutes, and I think that's a good way for them to see my skills.
