As soon as Michael sat down at the table, Kim leaned over to Christina and started whispering while giving pointed looks at a jock who had just separated from his group and was now leaning on one of the pillars of the east canteen wall.
"Oh, man!" said Jack to Michael as Christina got up and started moving towards the separated jock, "not again."
"Relax man," said Michael, "you know its not the end of the world, besides she hasn't gone out with anyone, and i'm stressing on the 'anyone', yet."
"Well it doesn't look like she's starting anytime soon." said Jack, a smile forming on his lips as he watched the jock cower under Christina's blasts as she repeatedly and rather forcefully, stated her singularism.
As the jock groggily, went back to his table, Jack and Michael, who up until that moment had been trying to keep a straight face, burst into uncontrollable laughter and were still in fits of giggles by the time Christina came back.
"Well that was...enlightening," said Christina.
"You sure showed him who's boss," said Nicholas, winking.
"Don't make me show you too Nick," threatened Christina.
"Ok, ok, calm down, sheesh," said Nicholas, at which the whole table burst into laughter.
"But, he was, kinda cute you know," said Christina, a smirk forming on her lips.
"Seriously!?" shouted Jack, "He looked like an overgrown bullfrog to me!"
"Ahh, come on Jack," said Christina, "Just because you don't have muscles like the jocks do, doesn't mean you have to call them overgrown bullfrogs you know."
"Well I was telling the truth," said Jack.
"Jack are you jealous?" asked Christina.
"Jealous, who me?" said Jack, "you gotta be kidding me!"
Realizing that the upcoming argument would be futile, Michael spotted and started staring at the girl who had almost completely overtaken his thoughts since 'that fateful biology session' (as Michael called it).
Selena, it seemed, had found a clique of friends (probably from her other classes) whom she was now chatting very animatedly to.
Michael, as before, found her vivid face and hand gestures very attractive. She seemed to be acting out something, but Michael couldn't figure out what. "Must be something that happened when she was in Philadelphia," thought Michael.
"Mike, Mike? Mike!"said Christina, breaking Michael's daydream for the second time that day, for which Michael grew very much annoyed, "where were you?"
"Ohhh, I get it," said Jack quickly understanding who Michael had been looking at as Michael struggled to find an answer, "Mike's thinking about his special someone."
"And do you know who his special someone is Jack?" asked Christina, pointedly, as Michael looked on embarrassed.
"As a matter of fact I do," said Jack, a little too proudly for Michael's liking and giving pointed looks at the table Selena was sitting at.
Christina all too quickly getting Jack's hint, in a false and buttery voice said, "Michael!!! I never knew you thought about girls?"
"I never really did, that is until today morning when I saw Selena," said Michael, now feeling his cheeks go red.
"So did you speak to her today or something?" asked Christina.
As Michael told Christina and Jack about the biology session, they "awwed" and "oofed", which made Michael feel that his whole face was being stuffed into a hot fireplace.
