I'm doing the best I can! I am new at this, so...keep reading!

After my lovely encounter with Mr. Badass himself, I walked back into the house.

Talk about baronial, I thought. The marble staircase winded up on both the left and the right, up into the second story. The chandelier hanging above me looked more expensive than my entire wardrobe.

In all the years of my life, I had never been to visit my aunt in Philadelphia. Now I that I saw where she lived, I was amazed. I had no idea she was this loaded. What job did she work again?

"Odette honey!" My aunt called. She walked at a brisk pace towards me with an excited look in her eyes.

"I wanted to show you your new room!

Veronica helped me decorate it, she actually helped me decorate all of your rooms! You're probably feeling tired from your flight, why don't you go check it out and get settled in. I'll have Veronica show you your room!" She exclaimed excitedly.

"Ok" I forced out, plastering a smile on my face. Veronica was my cousin, more like the devils spawn to me. Ever since we were little she had hated me. Every chance she got, she would torment me for anything and everything I did.

Veronica was the head cheerleader of her school, now my new school, and was the Queen Bee everyone feared, but adored. If you even gave her a look, should would make your life a living hell with her little minions.

Veronica clanked down the stairs in the shortest skirt I had ever seen, with a crop top that showed more skin than cloth. The way she held herself said it all. Queen bee.

"Veronica can you take Odette to her room? I've got a meeting I need to get to! I'm sure you two will get along great!" Aunt Hadley asked. He gave us each a hug, in which Veronica didn't even hug back and hurried out the door.

That woman worked all the time.

"Are you coming?" Spat Veronica.
"I don't have time for this." She said rolling her eyes.

You don't have time for this? My parents just died and you don't have time for this? What kind of sick person are you? I thought angrily. I was never one to express my anger out loud towards others. It took a lot to get me to express my anger out loud.

Tears of anger pricked at the backs of my eyes as I tried to hold them in, I looked at my feet as I walked biting my tongue. 4 doors down to the right was my new room.

Veronica opened the door and started impatiently tapping her foot as I entered. Wow. This is amazing. I thought to myself.

Saying the room was gigantic would be an understatement. The floor felt different, but familiar at the same time. The right side of the room had a mirror lining the entire wall, with a barre attached to it. No she did not, I squealed in my mind. I was tempted to do my happy dance right then and there.

The rest of the walls were painted a soft eggshell coloring, complementing the floor. I snapped my head over to the left to see a king sized bed with a white and gold sheet set, above the bed was my name with white lights surrounding it. Accompanying the bed set was a desk that matched along with two dressers, the glass French doors in front of me opened up into a balcony that took my breath away, there was even a window seat right beside it making any girl fall in love with this room. The entire room had a vintage essence to it, making me draw my breath. This.was.mine.

"So this is your room, the closet is right there and then your bathroom is to the left" Veronica exclaimed with a bored expression. She started to walk out but turned around and shot me a glare.
