“The World will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything” …….. I could never remember who had said such quote, its reality seemed a bit stupid to me, but soon I came to understand that the ones who “watch” are always the weak or the ones that die without hesitation and yet the “evil” are the ones that manage to survive. I never knew why such thing would be real, but this world showed me otherwise…
As I slowly open my sleepy eyes, adjusting to the light of day, I look passed the car window and get a glimpse of the morning sun just about to rise behind the mountains, the light breeze and warmth had almost made me forget how much it took me to get ready for school. The roads seemed longer than usual, which was strange, but I decided to ignore it since I just realized I left my coffee in the kitchen table. I slightly sighed, but was interrupted by the dramatic sunlight, instantly shining on my face, blinding my sight.
While I slowly arrived at school, all I could see was that dreadful yellow and gray uniform, which is one of the things I hated about the Dr. Santiago’s High school; it was funny that the school didn’t even have the creativity to divide the uniform color for the three grades, but my opinion made no difference.
Three stories of two high gray buildings, other than the mess hall on the left, all sealed inside the high walls covering it. I always thought that school was such a waste, but I wasn’t going to fight over such a stupid thing. Beside From the near distance, under the blush giant trees, just beside the graffiti painted bus stop, I could see a particular unique slim body. Her very long brown hair danced with the wind, a light tan just as perfect, her hazel eyes could pierce any soul, the very shine of her smile could start a fire inside me, her strength and determination made her beautiful, but it also made her very mature for her age, even though I could personally say that she had her moments. Rachel Blue, she was a year older than me like most of my friends, but I could easily say that I trust her the most; even on her period she would eliminate all of her stress to help me.
She knew I would forget my coffee, which explained her holding two cups. The tight jeans on her legs made her look like the odd man out since it was not the uniform, but it was perfect for her style.
Talking to her, stood a tall, but strong young man, I didn’t have a crush on him, but there was some sort of attraction. His skin was lighter than Rachel’s, but just as perfect, I used to envy his short, black hair, or at least wished I could mess it up without it being awkward. His gray pants weren’t tight, but the kind that flourished his amazing body, not to mention the ass I would never grab, but Bryan Miller was something special, he always wanted to be a leader, but his kind heart was easily beat by the monsters of this world. Bryan wasn’t ‘popular’ but he was there for me, even if he lived under my shadow sometimes.
Farther from them, near the crowded mess hall, I could see Felix, the ‘jock’ of the group. His bald head created a slight reflection that could be seen miles away but also made it a little tanner than his original skin color, his perfect body and smile mostly attracted attention, even if it wasn’t the kind of attention he was interested in. Beside the normal uniform, he always wore his dog tags perfectly intact. Felix was mostly self-centered, which explained why we never had connection, but I knew that he had a kind heart deep under all of that muscle.
Walking next to him with an annoyed face stood Casty, ‘the popular bitch’, she always wore the school jumper just a bit too short, but never did I think of her as a whore. Her body was perfect in every way, with long, blonde hair, perfect boobs, well done nails, even the real bitches of the school didn’t stand against her. Casty had only one default, her deep double personality made her seem mentally ill, bi-polar or not, she had a way to creep you out. Our friendship wasn’t the best, but she was OK to hang out with.
