Wrath, Greed, Sloth, Pride, Lust, Envy and Gluttony… All the seven deadly sins convict errors that if committed, could lead to grief and sorrow. Everything in this world involved them in one way or another, even if such thing surpassed our beliefs. The mere fact that they even exist prove the consequences of humanity given to trial, but everything eventually leads to one thing, the only thing that we choose to be responsible for or not, the one thing that reflects the end which gives opening for the afterlife… Death…

During my years, I enjoyed reading several books; the idea of imagining a story while your eyes captured the content fascinated me. Some stories involved action, some drama and some horror. Personally I didn’t have a favorite genre, the way for me to like a particular book, was for my mind to believe what my eyes read, and for my soul to feel it. The difference from a book and the ‘things’ in front of me was that my mind couldn’t believe what my eyes were seeing and my soul rejected to feel it.

A loud ringing began to cover my ears; my body froze, not being able to analyze the situation. My heart slowly skipped a beat, but finally, my eyes could see clearly the beginning of what seemed the end. The homeroom teacher realized the bodies standing at the entrance and immediately held the door closed with every inch of power a woman her age could have, but those ‘things’ overpowered her easily and busted the door open. The whole classroom silenced for a second in shock, but quickly began screaming and running in terror. The three bodies had begun to rip off chunks of the teacher’s neck, face and arms, while the gunky blood splattered directly into the chalkboard like a hideous massacre. The teacher’s horrific screams sent chills directly through my spine, disabling my every movement.

The whole classroom began to break the glass windows to escape and push each other’s out of the way in mere panic.  I stood up, searching the area for a way out while I noticed that Tanisha and Arej didn’t lift a finger. I got closer to them while the screams echoed in the background and pulled on both of their arms with great power. The force of my pull almost made them loose their balance, but it was retrieved at the moment.

“What is happening? What is this? ...” (Tanisha slowly said, staring into nothing, lost through the shine of her glasses)

I analyze the situation closely as my eyes landed on the lab area cabinet. The area seemed perfect to hide for a while, but the sound of skin getting ripped off a body almost distracted me, as it began to cause my classmates to scream their lungs out even more. The whole dilemma cause Tanisha and Arej to drown in tears, unable to react, but surprisingly, my instincts kicked in and I was immune to emotions at the time.

I grabbed both of their arms once again and began to run over to the lab area, leaving our bags behind, bumping with seats and pushing through every student. As I open the cabinet door, I noticed that they were completely empty. I thought of that as a miracle since they were always full with equipment and yelled, pulling on them “Hurry up, get in Now!!”

“Buh…buh…we won’t fitz in there…ang…ang what about everyone elseth?” (Arej said while her braces caused her to gabble nervously)

I stared at Arej’s freckles, avoiding her eyes and whispered in between teeth with the most serious tone that I could possibly have…

 “Get… in… now”

Both Tanisha and Arej noticed my very serious tone and crouched down forcing themselves into the cabinets without any hesitation this time. Just as I was about to squeeze myself in, crouched down, I turn to look back and what I saw ended my hopes of getting through this without having a sinful action. More than half of the class was annihilated in cold blood, one of them hanged from the broken glass window, it seemed that his neck got pierced in some of the glass left from the window while attempting to jump and hanged as the piece of glass ripped little by little through his face with blood gushing out.
