Chapter 12

Aubrey's POV

I woke up the nest morning and texted Cam.

I got up and went downstairs. Dad and Heather already had left for work. I decided that instead of cooking that I'd go out to get something to eat. I went back upstairs and got dressed I put on leggings and and a flannel shirt and my combat boots. I braided my hair and was soon ready to go. I went downstairs and went outside and got in my car.
I decided I was going to go to a breakfast place downtown called Polly's Cafe. It was about a 15 minute drive from my house. I came to a red light and stopped. The light soon turned green and I started to go. Out if the corner of my eye I saw a truck coming straight for me. It crashed into my car and pushed me half way across the road. I heard screams and then all I saw was black.

Cameron's POV

I text Aubrey back almost an hour ago and still had no response. It's unlike her to take that long to text back. I'm getting worried but maybe she's just busy or something or she could've fallen back to sleep. I got out of the bed and changed clothes and brushed my hair and teeth.
"Everyone get downstairs now!!" I heard Elizabeth yell. I wonder what's wrong? I walked downstairs and noticed Elizabeth and Chad where crying. "Everyone please sit down" Chad managed to get out in between tears. We all sat down and stared at Chad and Elizabeth waiting to hear the news. "Kids, we just got a call from a hospital in Tuscaloosa and Aubrey has been in a wreck. She's in a ICU unit right now and they aren't sure yet if she's going to be ok." When she said those words I think everything in me broke. I fell to the ground crying. Why her? Why can't it be me I stead! She doesn't deserve this!! "We are leaving right now to get on a flight and go to Tuscaloosa go oval your stuff and get in the car we need to leave ASAP!!" I ran upstairs and threw all my clothes and stuff in my bag and ran back downstairs. We all threw are stuff in the car and jumped in and left. We soon got on the plane and it took off. I couldn't help but hope she was ok. If she dies I'll die too.
Nash's POV

I really hope Aubrey is ok. I can't tell that it's crushing Cam more than anyone. He hasn't said a word since we found out about everything and he's been crying and it's kinda scaring me cause he never cries. If she's not ok I know Cam will be miserable and so will everyone else. I wish it could've been me instead of her. She doesn't deserve this at all. Mom has been crying nonstop and even dad was crying. All of us are tore apart. She is such a big part of this family and without her there will be a gap that can never ever be filled.
Elizabeth's POV

I really hope that my baby is ok. I can't help but think that this is all my fault . I should've fought harder and should've never let her leave. If I Would've fought harder and took this whole thing to court I probably could've won. I was honestly scared though that if I didn't let her go Carter would come and kidnap her or something. That's the whole reason she ended up with him anyway. I knew that if  he didn't get to keep her he would come and either harm me and my family or take her and I just couldn't chance her or my family getting hurt, but now she's hurt and I can't stand it. If something happens our whole family will break.
Cameron's POV

The plane just landed  and we all jumped off as soon as we could. We grabbed our luggage and ran to the car we have rented. We drove straight to the hospital. It took about 30 minutes to get there. As as we got there I jumped out of the car and ran into the hospital.

"Can you tell me where Aubrey Grace Harrison is?!?" I asked the lady at the front desk. "Are you family?" She asked me. "Yes mam!" I said kinda glad way lying but it's ok cause I really need to see her. "Ok she's in ICU unit 320 upstairs." The lady told me. "Thanks!" I yelled and sprinted to the stairs. I ran up the stairs and down the hall until I found unit 320.

When I got there I saw her dad and who I'm guessing was Heather. They both looked just as crushed as me. "Hey I'm Cameron I'm Aubrey's boyfriend." I said as I greeted her dad. "Hi Cameron it's nice to meet you! I'm Carter Aubrey's dad!" He said greeting me. "How's she doing?" I asked worriedly. " she's in surgery right now and should I be out soon. She has a broken leg and her ribs are pretty bruised up. They needed to do surgery on her leg and check her ribs and her head. She had a slight concussion too." He said looking down. By this time all the Griers had joined us. "Oh" is all I could manage to say.
"She's out of surgery now and she can have visitors one at a time! The surgery went well but I afraid she's in a coma and we have no idea when she will come to. It couple be a couple days, weeks, or even months." I can't believe this. What if she never wakes up. I can't even believe this right now. I'm so scared for her and her dad and mom and everyone else. She has to make it, she just has to.
Audrey's POV

I lay in a hospital bed and I can't see anything I can hear the doctors and everything though. I hear the door open and someone walks in and sits next to me and grabs my hand. "Baby I love you so much I can't even bare to believe that this happened to you. If didn't work all the time I would've been home today and this more than likely wouldn't of happened. If I wouldn't of been so greedy and fought to have you for just three more weeks this probably wouldn't of happened either. You would be happy and have a amazing life but now your stuck in a hospital and I can't help but feel that it's my fault. I'm so sorry but please just wake up. If you wake up I'll let you go and be with your mom as soon as they let you out of the hospital and I'll pay for everything and give you whatever you want. I love you please don't leave. We all need you." My dad said as tears fell onto the bed.

He then left and someone else came in. "I know I'm not your mom and I know I never will be but I seriously love you and would do anything for you to be happy. Ever since your dad and I started dating I've loved you a and cared for you. I honestly can't way to call you my stepdaughter so please don't leave please. I need you. You're dad needs you and so does that sweet boy named Cameron. He's crushed and hasn't stopped crying since he's gotten here. So if you can't stay for me then please just do it for Cameron. You're mom is crushed also And you mean the world to all of those people out there so please don't go. I love you" after that Heather kissed me on the check and was gone. Are the Griers and Cameron really here! I can't believe they came her just for me. And maybe Heathers not as bad as I thought she was.
Next someone else came in. They grabbed my hand and just cried for awhile until finally saying something. "I'm so glad after 19 years you finally came back into my life. I'm sorry I didn't fight to hard for you at court when you were little but I knew that your dad loves you so much that he's find any way to get you back and I didn't want him to hurt your or my family and I'm so sorry for that cause now you even more hurt. I should've turned Carter down whenever he said he wanted you for three weeks I should've of told him that you where staying with me but I knew you probably missed him and you need to see him for Jair a little while. I missed you so much and j love you like crazy. We all do. You are a huge part of our family and we can't lose you. If we lose you we will never be the same. I love you please don't leave me Aubbie." She said while pouring tears she hugged me lightly and then left.
Next was Nash. He grabbed my hand and he sounds as if he had been crying for hours. "Please don't leave us Aubs. If you leave we will never be the same. If you leave Cam will never be the same. He hasn't said a word since he found out about all this and we both know it's not like Cam to not talk. Please just do this for Cam. I love you."  And with a that he got up and left.
After Him Chad, Hayes, and even Sky came in and talked to me. They all pretty much said the same thing. That they loved me if they lost me none of them wou do be the same. Sky told me that she loved me and she needs me to get better cause she really needs someone to play ponies with. If I could laugh right now I would.
The last person that came in was Cam. He sat there and cried and cried forever. I wish I could hug him right now. It's crushing me to hear him like this. "I love you so much Aubrey Grace. Please please don't leave me. If you die I'll die too. I need you. You make me so happy and without you I'm nothing. I want you forever. One day I want to marry you and have a family oath you and just be together forever. If you can't stay for me do it for your mom, dad, Chad and Heather they are all crushed. I've honestly never seen any of them cry this much. Id give anything for this to be me instead of you. You don't deserve this. Any of it." What Cam said to me was the sweetest thing I've ever heard. I love him so much and just wanna hug him right now. He laid his head down careful of my chest and held my hand together than ever. Tears where pouting from his eyes.
All the sudden I feel a huge shock in my body. I started shaking uncontrollably and my body was moving around like crazy. Cam jumped up and I heard him talking over all the monitors going off like crazy. "Someone help!  Please someone save her!!!" He screamed and I heard the doctors shoved him out if the room. That was the last thing I heard before I saw a bright white light.
