It was finally over. I sat down in the big leather chair that sat behind the desk. I would have fallen asleep if I hadn't thought of what would happen if they woke up screaming. I jumped up and practically dug Coach Haruna out of the pile of bodies. I gave her a gentle slap on the face. It didn't work. I pushed a girl off the sink and ran the water over the coach's head.
"MHhm!" She said trying to breathe.
"Sorry" I said pulling her out.
"Where am I" She said trying to look around.
"Thats not important, what is important, is that we wake these girls up without any screaming, and get you all out of here." I said
"But why are we here?!" She noticed all the girls huddled on top of each other in the bathroom
"Coach!" I stopped her before she asked again. "We need you to get us out of here safely, then I will explain."
She seemed to understand and she got a bunch of wet towels. I watched her gently wake up Amy while patting her with a damp cloth. When Amy realized she wasn't at home in bed she opened her mouth to scream. Coach Haruna immediately shoved the towel in her mouth.
"Not now." She commanded as if she were talking to a small child.
I grabbed some towels and did the same with the girls lying on the floor outside the bathroom. I awoke Akane first who was looking around unaware of what happened. I hugged her.
"Akane your back!!" I squealed quietly.
"Was I gone?" She asked genuinely confused.
"Yes you were and it was awful, but I saved you and I need you to help me wake these girls up quietly so we can get out of here."
She didn't ask any questions until everyone had waken up. Then the questions quietly poured in.
"Yuki? Were we sold into slavery?"
"Yuki? Are we going to die?"
"What time is it?"
"Yuki? Where are we?"
"I want to go home!"
"How did we get here?"
"Is there someone after us?"
"What did we ever do wrong?"
Many questions were being asked but I really couldn't answer them. I ignored them, and grabbed my book-bag full of evidence. I only knew one thing, and that was that we had to leave this place without being caught. We couldn't go the way we came they would never agree, and neither would I. I would not be jumping across the buildings, and I was much too tired to be doing that again at all. I shushed them and told them that we needed to find a way to escape without being caught by the guards. Some of them cried but we all began searching.
"The fire escape!" One of the girls called out happily.
I smiled and ran over to the window and saw the fire escape. I opened it and motioned for them to follow quietly. I stepped down and looked over the edge. There were guards posted at the very bottom of it. I lead them down to the second story. I stopped. Luckily none of them asked questions, and they kept quiet. I stepped off the fire escape, onto a windowsill. I carefully made my way from window to window. When I looked back no one was following me only standing there staring.
I motioned for them to follow but they only shook their heads no. I pleaded to coach with my eyes and she sighed quietly. She whispered something to the girls and I could tell by her hand motions she said "don't look down". She stepped onto the window setting an example. The girls followed many of them crying all of them terrified.
I lead them to the corner of the building where the rain drainage pipe was bolted in. I gripped both sides of it and used my feet to step on each part where it was bolted in, and stepped down like a ladder. By this time I wasn't afraid of heights anymore so I went down with ease. At last I was on the ground. The other girls were pretty skinny so this really shouldn't have make them worry. But they kept whispering about one at a time still on the second story. We didn't have time for that. I was frantically motioning for them to hurry. The clatter of the pipe up against the building was sure to draw attention sooner or later. Only two girls made it to the ground before we heard someone coming.
"I'll check it out." A manly voice called from around the corner.
The girls stopped whining and froze. I hid behind a dumpster along with the two other girls and watched him look around with his flashlight. I didn't want to take a chance of drawing more attention here if i didn't have to. The same calico cat was once again disturbed by our disruption, and trotted away.
"Must have been a cat" He called to his partner and walked away.
The girls all looked at me. Then I motioned to the girls one at a time when to go. When they were all on the ground safely, they all started hugging, crying, and smiling. We ran off into an all night café. I explained everything to them. There was a lot of screaming, shock, disbelief, and grief. We were all exhausted and they decided they wanted to go home. I waved goodbye to everyone. I wanted to follow and go home to rest but my job wasn't done. I shock the sleep off of me and headed to a police box.
