Ch.1 Intro

" I can't believe it! I got a 100 on my test!" Claire said as she, along with her friends, walked pass houses to head home from another daily school day. Khloe rolled her eyes, brushing a stray strand of her honey blonde hair behind her tanned ear," You always get 100s." Claire looked over at Rae, hoping that she would say something. Rae looked up from her Japanese 101 textbook," Huh? What happened Claire?" Claire pouted," How could you two?! You didn't even listen to me! I said I got an A+ on my Geometry test!" Rae smiled at Claire," That's great Claire!" Claire smiled and ran in front of the two. Khloe's  hair shined in the evening sunset along with her dark brown eyes blazing in anger," If you had said something nice..." Khloe thought, tightening her grip on her bag. Khloe tried to shrug it off. Who was Claire to be all smart and brag about her grades? Khloe looked at Rae, who was reading her Japanese book. For as long as Khloe remembered, Rae was known for being what some would call the mysterious black horse, having midnight black hair, gray-brown eyes, and an olive skin tone that made most girls at their school just die for. Khloe would have been one of those girls if it wasn't for the fact that Rae and Khloe have been best friends since they were 8 years old. "If you were more like Rae.." Khloe slowed down her pace so Rae could catch up with her and Claire," So how long 'til we see you speaking a full lecture?" Rae looked up and gave Khloe a derision expression," When you start acting like you have a stick in your butt...oh wait...you already do." Khloe rolled her eyes. She deserved the comeback, especially from the comeback princess herself. As the girls were walking, Rae halted, stopping near a lamp pole on the sidewalk," Can you guys please hold on one sec. I'm going to put my book up." Rae placed her bag down and open it. After what felt like whatever with her homework, Rae was ready for the field trip tomorrow following up with a weekend of sleep. Before Rae could place her book inside her bag she heard a voice shouting," Watch out!" Before Rae could look for the person who belongs to that voice, she saw a boy laying on top of her bag with her contents falling out. The boy had blonde hair and sunset eyes. Rae didn't know what to say along with the kid who was looking up at her. The boy broke the silence by getting up and putting all her contents that had fallen out back into her bookbag. "Umm here!" The kid said as he held Rae's bag. Rae glanced at his pale hands before looking back up at him," Thank you...umm," The kid's eyes went round," Yukine! My name is Yukine." Rae couldn't help but smile," Well, thank you Yukine." Rae took her bag from his hand, waved and walked away from Yukine. Yukine waved awkwardly before he ran off once more. "Did we just see you flirt with a guy?!" Claire squeaked. Rae shrugged," He just fell on top of my bag. Nothing romantic there." Rae looked back to see  Yukine but he was already gone.
