One Shadow on the Wall One Coffee Cup (a Hunter Hayes Fanfic)

Chapter 13

Hunter looks me dead in the eye, and widens his eyes as to signal "what do I say". I widely open my eyes and shrug my shoulders. This isn't going to go well.

"Ummmmm," Hunter manages to make a noise.

"I do not have a girlfriend. I mean I have friends that are girls but..." he clearly is scared and can't respond.

I jump up from my seat.

"My name is Steph and I run the official Hunter Hayes fan club and it has been confirmed that he does NOT have a girlfriend. I even had an interview with him before hand to confirm this fact... continue Hayes."

I place my hands on my lap and sit back down, to make it look official. I'd like to hope that I nailed that. The girl seems to be satisfied with my response, as Hunter nods his head in agreement and approval.

Hunter continues on with his fans, and I even meet him to make it look like I'm just a fan. When we get our pictures together, it is our first picture together. I just wish it was like a picture from a date. I guess you could consider talking over coffee a date right? I guess this was a date.

The CHE finishes, and Hunter and I walk backstage to go and meet up with his band. We hold hands and of course Andy makes sure to make a remark.

"Awww look at the cute couple. You guys need a ship name... Hayna, or Shunter????"

Hunter just shakes his head, as to signify, "Andy sometimes you're just stupid," yet it's a kinder way of saying it.

The guys are set to take the stage in 10 minutes, and I feel so lucky to be in my spot. They go over Hunters latest single, "Wanted". The entire time, Hunter looks at me and draws all his emotion to me. I feel myself getting teary eyed. He's so amazing. I feel terrible for not being able to give him the same amount of love and perfection as he gives me.

They take the stage, and it's so beautiful and fun to see him having the time of his life, and making people happy. I just make sure no to get to far away from the curtain, since I don't want to be seen.

When the show is over, Hunter thanks the crowd, and we wait for everyone to leave the arena. It takes a while to pack up, but finally we get in Hunters tour bus, and we're off.

"Wait, where are we going? I need to get back to Los Angeles!"

"Don't worry. I already called your parents and school to let them know that you won't be home for a little bit. You're going to be coming to every stop for the rest of the tour!"

I squeal and give him the biggest hug ever. He makes my heart melt. And I can't even make his heart simmer.
