Loving a 'Degrassi' Boy

Time to go my own way.

     My eyes flutter open the next morning and I roll over to check my phone. I have 8 texts. One from Jorge, one from Ryder, one from Annie, two from Taylor, and three from Luke. I unlock my phone and start reading the text from Annie.
Hey lovely! I miss you. I've heard about everything going on with you. We need to get together soon!
I smile. I miss her too. Maybe it would be nice to meet up with her and get her opinion on things, I quickly respond.
I miss you too! Yes, let's get lunch! Call me and let me know when your available! Can't wait!
I go to the next text, Ryder.
Hey. Hope your okay after yesterday. I know your going through a lot. I'm sorry it ended so quickly but I think you need time to get everything together in your life. Let me know when your ready.
I know he's right. Maybe I need to be alone for a few months. My life is a mess and it's time to find myself again.
Your right. Your a great guy. I'm sorry for everything. How about just friends? Have a great day!
Next was Jorge.
Good morning. Call me when you get up.
I ignored his text. I'll call him in a while after I go through all these texts and eat some breakfast. I opened Taylor's texts two long paragraphs explaining how sorry she was and that she missed me. Maybe it's about time to move on from what she did and forgive her. Our friendship will never be the same but I need to get my life back to normal. Finally, I opened Luke's messages.
I'm sorry for yesterday. I was way out of line. Life is just not the same. I miss you.
I made a terrible mistake. I was stupid. Why would I hurt someone I know was the perfect person for me?
I hope you can forgive me soon. Not a day goes by I don't have breakdowns thinking about you.
Maybe he was sorry but how could I trust him again. Maybe just maybe, we could be friends. I decide to respond.
It's all good Luke. Maybe we can be friends. I'll call you in a while.
I send the text and put my phone down. I pull the covers off my body and go start a shower.
After my shower I wrap my hair in a towel and put on my light pink, knee length silk robe. I head downstairs and pour myself a bowl of cereal. As I ate I think about being with Jorge. Saying yes was a mistake. I need my space to find who I am again. I go get my phone off my bed side table and dial his number. He answered on the second ring. 
"Morning Paiz. How'd you sleep?"
"Good. And you?"
"I slept good. What are your plans for today?"
"I'm not sure. I might go grab lunch with Annie, but I was wondering if you could come over. We need to talk."
"I can head over there now. See you in 15 minutes."
"Okay. See you then."
I put my empty cereal bowl in the sink and run water in it then place it in the dishwasher. I go upstairs and pull on a pair of joggers and a loose T-shirt and brush through my hair and brush my teeth. I go back down stairs bad wait for Jorge.
10 minutes later I hear a light knock on the door. I open and welcome in Jorge. I sit down and he sits next to me. "So, as you know I've been through a lot lately and I have lost myself in the process. Last night I said yes in the heat of the moment. I do love you but as a friend and I think you were in the heat of the moment as well. We both need time to recover. I want to be there for you but just as friends. I hope you understand."
He smiles and quickly replys.
"Paiz. I completely agree. I gotta go now though. Call me if you need anything."
"The same to you Jorge."
I call Annie after he leaves.
"Hey girl!" She answers very cheerily.
"Hey Annie! Do you wanna meet for lunch at PF Chang's at noon?"
"Yes! See you then!"
I hang up the phone. My final phone call then I will go get ready. I dial Luke's number he answered half way through the first ring.
"Paisley. I'm so sorry. I would love to be friends. I understand you don't trust me. I'll do anything to build your trust back." I smile at his urgency.  I realize I still have feelings for him.
"Meet me for coffee in the morning?" I question.
"Of course Paiz."
"I'm going to lunch with Annie. I have to get ready. I'll talk to you later. Have a good day."
"Have fun and be safe." I hang up then go to get ready.  I apply a little makeup and blow-dry my hair. Luckily it falls straight. I pull on a baby blue sun dress. Then head downstairs to get the keys to my parents range rover. At least I have that to drive while they are in whatever third world country they are in this time. I should really call them and let them know what happened since they won't be home for another 2 months.  I pull myself into the range rover and drive to the restrurant. I see Annie's car in the parking lot. Finally, some girl time.
