I met up with Reagan for five days. Each day it got easier to change forms, especially if I turned close to him. It was now the sixth day, the day before the first day of the wolf moon. It had been a long day, and I found myself dozing off in my wolf form while laying next to Reagan.

"You're falling asleep again," he laughed, nudging me.

"No, I'm not - I'm resting my eyes," I replied.

"You're just like Charlotte."

I thought back to the little girl I had met at the guest house. "Smart girl."

"Annoyingly so," he yipped.

I didn't hear anything else Reagan said as I slowly drifted off into darkness. Reagan must of fallen asleep too, because next thing I knew, I was invading his dreams.

We were in an abandoned house. I watched as Reagan went from room to room, searching through drawers, closets, anything that could hide something. He was frantically looking for something. When he searched the last room, he sat on the lonely bed that occupied the room. Placing his head in his hands, letting out a shaky breath.

"What are you looking for?"

His head snapped up to meet me. His eyes widened. He lunged at me, drawing me into a tight embrace.

"I found you," he whispered. "I never found you before."

I drew back from him. "What are you talking about?"

He looked around. We were no longer in the house - we were at the cabin, by the lake. "You're invading my dreams, Holly," he half accused.

"Yeah, well, now you know what it's like," I stated.

He drew me close yet again. "It's a welcome invasion."

"What were you looking for?" I repeated.

"You. Always you." He explained. "I've had the same dream, well nightmare really, for weeks. It's always the same. I follow your sent to an abandoned house, look around, find nothing. Never finding you."

"Where did I go?"

"I don't know, and it drives me half mad."

We were both silent for a moment. "I didn't mean to invade, by the way. It just sort of happened."

"It's because you wanted to. You could only enter my dreams if you wanted to."

I blushed. "Oh, sorry."

He smiled. "Like I said, it's welcomed."

I sat at the water's edge, letting my feet play in the water. Reagan sat, joining me. "So tomorrow's the first day of the wolf moon," I started. "What are you and your pack planning on doing?"

"We're joining your pack. I'll be with you and our families."

"Really? I thought you didn't like being chained up?"

"I don't - my wolf doesn't - but we're on your territory, at least for now, and we go by your rules."

I watched our bare feet sway in the water. "So, if you were to win the alphas challenge, you would  change that rule?"

"I wouldn't force someone to chain or cage themselves. They could learn to control the wolf if they wanted to be free." He paused. "You could control her, Holly."

I met his eyes in horror, shaking my head. "No, she stays chained."

His eyes softened. "And that's way I wouldn't make anyone not be chained." He reached over to touch my hand. "You don't have to be afraid of her, Holly."

I kept my eyes on his. "Yes, I do."

"She's not an enemy, Holly, she's a part of you."

I stood up. "Not a part of me I want roaming free."

I woke before Reagan. Taking advantage of him still sleeping, I quickly let my wolf relax and turned back into a human. The pain was definitely less intense, soon it would be nothing but a dull achiness. I threw on my clothes and shoved my feet into my shoes. Reagan stirred just as I started to bundle my hair into a messy bun. I waited until he was clothed again. "So I'll see you tomorrow?"

He nodded. "Tomorrow."

I got into my car and watched as Reagan got into his. Starting the car, I headed home. Marcus was on the porch waiting for me.

"You've been meeting up with Reagan," he stated, not accusing, just saying a fact.

"He's been helping me with my wolf. Helping the transformation be less painful."

"I could've helped you, Holly. All you had to do was ask."

"I didn't ask for Reagan's help. He just sort of... did it."

Marcus nodded. "How are you feeling about tomorrow?"

"Nervous. Did you know Reagan was coming?"

"Yeah, he told my parents and me last night."

"Are you ok with that?"

Marcus tensed. "Not particularly, but it's better than him and his pack doing whatever they want."

"I do have a request though."

He nodded. "Whatever you want."

"I want to be caged. After last time, I want to make sure nothing happens. I don't want to break free or anything."

He didn't say anything for a moment. "Are you sure, Holly? Being caged.... It's not something your wolf would like - it's worse than being chained up. It's unsettling.'

I nodded, ignoring the anxiousness. "I'm sure."
