You heard a sigh and rolled over in bed to face L, who was wide awake at 2 in the morning.
"Hey."
No answer.
"Lawliet, what's wrong?" It was rare you used his real name. He looked at you. "I don't see how I'm so important. I have trouble with every case I get, I'm not that smart." He frowned. "Sorry, I sound ridiculous." I shook my head and put a hand on his shoulder.
"You are important, Lawliet. I need you. The force needs you. Hell, the whole world needs you. You are worth so much, and I'm so lucky to love you." I smiled and hugged him. I heard him sniffle as he hugged me back.
"Thank you, (name). You make me feel important."
"You are important, Ryu." I kissed his forehead.
"C'mon, I'm tired. Let's sleep."
We laid down, my head resting on his chest.
"Night, (name), love you."
I smiled.
