Lost In Living

Name It

As we entered the museum I saw beautiful statues and pieces of artefacts .
Row had started to walk in a direction but , I was so focused on the patterns and shapes  of the objects that I didn't notice I had wandered away .
                     I turned my head and looked around but there was no one to be seen .
                      As I turned back around I jumped a little when I met the gaze of a tall blond man .
    He had very simple but defined features that one would consider 'attractive' .
                          He smiled at me , but his smile wasn't playful or sexy his smile reminded me of a shark .
          I smiled back politely and turned to walk in the other direction in hopes of finding Row .
             " Excuse me " the man behind me said .
         I faced him .
" I'm sorry for bothering you I just thought a pretty girl like you deserves some company while walking around here "
               I looked at him unsure of how to answer .
          " thank you but that's okay , I do have company around here somewhere"
           He took a slow step towards me .
" well I'm sure they wouldn't miss you if you left them for a while " his voice was low and rough .
         " I think I need to go find him before he starts to worry " I started to walk away at a quicker than usual pace .
                I heard the mans footsteps getting faster and closer behind me .
                   When I saw Row looking around I almost ran to him ,
the mans footsteps stopped and I heard him go the other direction but not quick enough because Row's eyes shot to the man and they darkened.
       He swiftly walked over to me and put both his hands on my shoulders . He had a very serious look in his eyes that I had not seen before .
            " Nova , what did that man say to you " his voice was strained and anger seeped into each word .
         I was taken aback by his tone and seemed to have forgotten to answer .
     He shook me a little .
         His voice was raised more now " Nova , tell me now what that man just said to you "
                            I probably resembled a fish opening and closing my mouth trying to form a sentence.
    " I- he - nothing really he just wanted to talk I guess , he came off a little strong but that's all  "
                He released his tight grip on my shoulders and deeply sighed .
          " alright , I'm sorry if I hurt you "
                        I was confused but I didn't  want to question his behaviour so I tried to brush it off unsuccessfully .
              "Come " he gestured with his hand for me to follow him .
              We stopped at a breath taking sculpture as I read the writing beside I came to realise it was Jupiter God of the sky , the sculpture was smooth and captured his mightiness and rank .
                       Row gestured me to follow him again . " these are all clues to my name you might just figure it out "
              I nodded at him with a curious expression .
        Next was another beautiful Rom- wait ! Another beautiful Roman statue.
              That's why Sky called him Row it was short for Roman .
                           I turned to him with a  mischievous look on my face " well well well , Roman . "
                                  His eyes widened for a split second as he realised I had just said his name .
             "Well done Nova I thought it would have taken you longer " .
              "I guess I'm just that good "
      He smirked " I don't know about that "
              As we walked back out my thoughts were filled with his beautiful- I mean okay name  .
      It was such a strong brave name and now that that I have the first half I would like to find out the second .
                    When we started driving in the car I decided I should just ask " so now that I know your first name can I have your second ?".
             He didn't reply for a while .
   " It's Roman soldato , which means Roman soldier " .
                  How lucky was he to have such a nice interesting , hot name .
        " what a name "
" yeah really original " his tone was unimpressed .
   I started to laugh .... I guess it was a bit of a coincidence .
         " I wouldn't laugh at me if I were you "
           I tried to stifle my laughter , I didn't know why it was so hard to stop .
              My thoughts were completely knocked out of my Brain when I felt his hand on my thigh , his hands were big and his fingers were long and tanned .
      My face grew warm and my laughter immediately  stopped , when I looked over at him he was driving , looking out the window as if his hand was not very far up my thigh .
                I thought I saw a twitch of a smirk in his face right before he started to make slow warm circles on the inside of my thigh .
     My eyes went wide and my skin was warm and tingling .
        My heart started to beat fast and his hand started to move higher , I didn't realise we had pulled into his driveway until he took his nice hand away,  leaned over and I felt his warm breath tickle my ear when he whispered
" I told you to stop laughing".
                    He got out of the car and strolled into his house leaving me there trying to catch my breath like an idiot .

                       Later that night after I had put Cole and Evie to bed , I hopped into the shower and turned  the heat up high . I stayed there for awhile just thinking about today .... It was weird , but nice ?
                         I pushed the thoughts of the car ride to the back of my head and hopped out of the shower .
           I wrapped a fluffy towel around me and padded into my bedroom .
        I started drying my hair with another towel and just as I was about to drop my towel and get dressed my phone beeped .
If you drop that towel I can't be held accountable for my actions - your soldier .
                       Oh god heat flushed my face as I realised I needed to start getting in the habit of closing my curtains now .
He must have put his number in my phone himself because I don't remember him giving it to me and I would not have given him that name .

I walked over but Roman was no where to be seen , I closed the curtains and got dressed into shorts and a comfy t-shirt .
                     I crawled into bed and made myself into a ball with blankets surrounding me .
               My eyes began to drift but I was quickly taken out of that trance by the sound of my window being pushed open .
                When I turned around I was glad to see it was Roman and not a stranger - that was the only reason I was glad .
                      He climbed over me and without speaking a work to me lifted himself under the covers , wrapped his arms around me , pulled me into him and laid his head on my neck .
                 I was basically a puddle of hormones at that point , after a while his breathing began to slow down and I relaxed . 
      Before I realised it , I was falling asleep with someone stroking my cheek .
