Chapter Eight

LING

After the tenseful conversation with the Lord and the assassin, my sister and I were sent to our own room that we would be living in from now on. It was a fairly big room, I guess being the Lord's new daughters gave us a lot of privilege. Our room was a floor below the Lord's, it was a huge square room with a king's bed right in the middle of the room with the head pushed against the wall across from the door. The bathroom was on the right of the door as you walked in, and it was literally like one of the bathrooms that you see when you go to a hot springs hotel, and because it was so amazing, I was currently resting in the warm water tub.

"Isn't this just the best feeling in the world," I sighed to myself as I laid my head back on the edge of the pool-like hot tub. My sister wasn't with me because she decided to tour the castle so she knew where everything was. As for me, I just needed to relax after learning about everything about this world, I also told my sister to debrief me about what she saw when she came back. "This is heaven," I groaned out while I spread my arms out to rest on the edges of the pool.

"Yes it sure is, isn't it," the sudden voice made me immediately jump up and swivel my head towards the source of the sound. "Calm down, I'm not trying to kill you this time," in front of me was a stripped down Jasper, it somewhat surprised me, but overall I was thankful for the God of this world for this opportunity.

"Isn't this my sister and my room? And are you even allowed to walk around freely like that?" I raised a brow and sunk myself back into the water so that only my shoulders were poking out. I watched as Jasper walked forward and dipped herself into the water, this gave me the chance to check her out, it seemed like our little assassin was a pretty curvy woman. Jasper settled herself in the water, she let out a deep sigh before she tilted her head and looked at me.

"I am allowed to walk around, but this keeps me in check," she pulled her left hand out of the water to show me a metal bracelet wrapped around her wrist. "It lets the Lord know where I am," Jasper pulled at the accessory a few times before she answered my other question, "And this room has the best bath, the Lord sent me in here," I raised a brow at this, why would Elanna send the assassin to our room. No matter though, it wasn't as if something would be a threat to me since I had full confidence in my abilities to protect myself.

"Alrighty then," I crossed my legs while I sat in the water, thankfully it wasn't too deep on this end of the pool. Suddenly all of my deep thoughts poured out, the fact that I promised myself to be married off was a problem. Usually Rang was the one to fix these kinds of problems, but what could she do to fix this.

"I don't even know your names, the Lord said she forgot to ask for your names as well," Jasper rolled her eyes, "She doesn't even know her daughter's names," I just gave a shrug at that, it wasn't as if we could do anything about it since I was the Lord and I were both drunk when it happened.

"My name is Ling, and my sister can introduce herself," I waved my hand towards the curtain that had begun to move to reveal my sister. "Hey sis," I gave a big grin as Rang made her way over to where I was sitting. She let out a long sigh as she plopped herself down behind me. "Is everything ok?" I leaned back against my sister's front, she shook her head while she wrapped her arms around me from behind.

"I fixed the problem," I froze at this, what could my sister have done to fix the problem I had made. This made me a bit worried that she had done something rash. I raised a brow in her direction, momentarily forgetting about Jasper. "The Lord didn't know our names before, and we look the same. So I told her that I was the one to be married off, and I was the one who got us adopted." My eyes widened largely, I quickly swiveled my body around to face my sister, I grabbed her face with both hands to make sure she would look me right in the eyes.
