"Hem, aren't you gonna talk to your friends? Nag aalala na sila sayo. They know how you feel."

Hindi ko kinibo si Mama Ariadne na nakaupo ngayon sa tabi ko.

I'm busy. I'm too busy to blame my self. I'm too busy to look at Avigil's remains and  I'm too busy to fill my whole being with so much grief and regrets.

I shouldn't have been a brat that time. I shouldn't have been so much sensitive that time.

Dapat nakinig ako sa kanya. Dapat hinintay ko siya. Pero ano? Pinairal ko ang kaartehan ko. Ang pagiging spoiled ko. Kasi alam kong susuyuin niya ako. Alam kong susundan niya ako.

Eto siya ngayon sa harap ko. Isa nang malamig na-

"Shhhh. Hem, Gil won't like to see you crying. Please be strong" Pag aalo sa akin ni Mama. I still can't  face the fact that my best friend is gone.

Kahit ang isipin ang kung ano ang kinalalagyan niya ngayon ay di ko magawa ng hindi ako nag bbreak down.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Gil. I'm sorry. It's all my fault."

My loud scream as I cry echoed in the four corner of the hall.

Narinig ko rin ang iyakan at mga hikbi ng mga taong naging parte rin ng buhay ni Gil. Buhay na nasayang nang dahil sa akin.

"It' s all my fault, Mama. I... I should be the one lying inside that coffin. I should-" *pak*

Napatigil ang lahat ng umalingawngaw ang tunog ng pagkakasampal sa akin ng babaeng alam kong labis din na nagluluksa ngayon.

"Do you think kuya Gil would love to hear that from you!?"  Eurydice shouted in front of me with so much anger and grief.

Her name is Eurydice  Verdandi. Gil's half sister. She valued her brother so much but she lost him because of me.

"No one's blaming you here, Hemerah. My brother died because HE chose to save you. He chose to. It's his choice! Now if you keep acting that way, you'll make him feel bad. As if your making his sacrifice to be in vain. He saved you to live! So live!"
