The babysitter

First day in new jersey

Today is my first day in New Jersey and my mom is forcing me to get a job cause I'm 17

Mom- Delilah your almost 18 you need a job

Me- mom it's my first day here can't i do it tomorrow just let me sleep

Mom- Delilah I swear if you don't get up right now you will never see your phone again and will get an ass whopping of a lifetime

I immediately got out of bed and hopped in the shower when i was done I let my hair dry and put on a red v-neck crop top high waisted black jeans and a sweater then did my makeup and when my hair dried into its curly state I then put 2 twists in the sides so I put on my beanie then grabbed my phone and walk to the board walk which wasn't very far from my house. As I'm going through I realize they are mainly bars that need help then I come across a bulletin board that has help wanted posters and see a babysitter one for a 2 year old which shouldn't be that bad so I sit down and call the number waiting for an answer

Me- hi my name is Delilah and wanted to know if there was still an opening for a babysitter position

Lady- sure is how old are you

Me- I am currently 17

Lady- well would you like to come by tomorrow and I can interview you here I'll text you the time and address is that ok

Me- that's perfect I just moved here so I don't have much to do and my schedule will almost always be open

Lady- well that's just wonderful and my name is Lisa

Me- well than you so much Lisa for the opportunity you will not regret this

Lisa- I hope so I'll talk to you tomorrow honey

Me- again thank you so much bye

Lisa- your welcome Hun bye

I hung up and called my mom

Me- hey mom I found a babysitter position for a 2 year old and have a interview tomorrow

Mom- that's great sweetie when will you be home cause I'm cooking dinner right now

Me- text me right before dinner is done and I'll be on my way home

Mom- ok be safe love you

Me- alright love you too mom bye

I hung up not even paying attention and bumped into a guy

Me- oh I'm so sorry I wasn't paying attention

Boy- no it's totally ok I wasn't paying attention um I haven't seen you around here did you just move here?

Me- uh yea I don't really know what im doing *nervous laugh*

Boy- how about I show you around my name is jake jake Paul

Me- nice to meet you jake I'm Delilah Delilah Ramos haha

Jake- that's a very lovely name

Me- thank you

Jake- so how old are you

Me- I am 17 what about you

Jake- I'm 19

Me- do you live around here

Jake- ya I live right there

He points to his house and I nod

Me- oh we don't live to far from each other

Jake- really wow maybe we can hang out soon

Me- um I don't have much to do cause

I get cut off my his phone ringing

Jake- I am so sorry

He answers after about a minute or so he hangs up

Jake- we'll I have to go but here what's your number maybe we can hangout another time

Me- ya here

He gives me his phone and I put my # in and he smiles

Jake- thanks see you around

Me- you too

I then decide to walk around a bit longer and buy myself a nice outfit for the interview tomorrow and when I was done I text my mom

Me- hey ma I'm on my way home right now I'll see you soon

Mom- ok I just finished dinner

Me- ok bye

Mom- bye

I put my phone away and start walking home after a few minutes I'm home

Mom- hey Hun what time do you get interviewed tomorrow

Me- um she texted me earlier and said around 12 12:30

Mom- ok so I'm going to wake you up at 10 a.m. Tomorrow

Me- ok

We finish up dinner and I go up to my room and get a text from Lisa the babysitter

Lisa- hey Hun I know it's 8 but if all goes well tomorrow can you babysit tomorrow after the interview

Me- sure I would love to

Lisa- thank you so much have a nice night

Me- you too

I put my phone away and decide to take a shower. When I'm done showering I put on some burgundy joggers and a white tank top and brush my teeth and go to sleep
