"As you five have lasted a week. We're going to celebrate."
"Ooh, what food are we going to get this time?" Harrison asked patting his stomach.
"You'll have to wait and see, but you'll be playing some party games. You'll know them all of course."
"Again let me guess, they aren't the normal games are they?"
"We'll play the games as normal and do a leader board of where everyone comes in all of the games."
"What happens if you come last?" Charlie asked inquisitively.
"That's the fun bit lady and gents. First prize is no dare, second prize is one dare, and third prize is two dares. Calls for some extra fun times now because forth place gets a black dare and fifth place gets two black dares."
"So, come first and you'll be fine" Taylor said trying to make everyone like her again after yesterdays incident.
"Taylor you're going down." Mark said trying to lighten the mood but nobody missed the hint of a threat in the side comment.
"Yeah, I probably will."
"Oh shut up" why were they so annoying? All they did was argue and make empty threats to each other until someone occasionally mentions food. "All of you, can you just listen to yourselves for one minute? Are you actually capable of thinking of what you're about to say before you say it?"
"Yes we are actually capable of that just sometimes the situation we're in is so stupid that we feel that whatever we say we're still going to be here until we die." Charlie said clearly frustrated with the fact the game was made for him and more not innocent people but people still are dying because of him.
It took me a few moments to register what he had told me; I couldn't say anything, I didn't say anything I just clapped. And then when everyone looked confused I continued "Well done Charlie, you finally took up the courage to stand up to someone. You've got so much potential but you don't allow that potential to be loved the way it should be." I loved emotional talks but this one clearly didn't mean anything to anyone else. "Anyway, on with the games. All take a chair from the stack by the wall and then someone take a chair away." They all followed my instructions and I started the music.
"This is the worst party I've ever been to." Taylor stated
"That's because it's not started yet." I really wanted to say something like 'oh and because you're here' but I realised that I was too kind for that. The music stopped and everyone scrambled to a seat.
"Ben, you're out." Harrison stated happy that it wasn't him. The rounds continued; Mark was next out and then Harrison. The final was between Charlie and Taylor.
"Okay, Ben take away the final chair and make sure both Charlie and Taylor walk up to the ends of the room. I won't look when the music stops so the result is not bias like all of the times before." I wanted Charlie to win, not because I liked him or anything, it's just his confidence needs boosting a little bit. "Well done Charlie." Everyone congratulated him while the results were being added to the board. "The next game is pin the tail on the donkey."
"But I bet it's some kind of pin the knife in the heart kind of game isn't it?" Taylor guessed; how can she be so bad at guessing?
"Turn around" the party piece was now uncovered to reveal a normal pin the tail on the donkey game.
"You could have done so much more." Taylor stated obviously unimpressed that she once again guessed wrong.
"Do my efforts not please you Taylor? I thought I was making a wonderful effort" she just shrugged in reply. They all took it in turn to place the tail on the donkey. It was a close call but it was Harrison in fifth; Taylor in fourth; Charlie in third; Ben in second and Mark in first.
