"Guys do you all have a note in the book you've been given?" Charlie asked finally noticing the little reminder I sent them; I thought they were getting a little bit too comfortable in their surroundings.
"Yeah, it says about how Beth wants our bodies in exchange for the presents." Ben said with a sad expression on his face.
"Ben we'll get out of this it's okay." Taylor said trying to be comforting
"You seem to forget that we all watched you murder Paul."
"I had to." Taylor shouted back in defence
"Nobody forced you to, in fact if I remember rightly you offered to kill Paul." I added quickly, even though once in my life I may have thought the world of Taylor, now I hated her and wanted, no needed, others to hate her too.
"Fine, sure I wanted to kill someone, I needed to get my anger out and Beth gave me opportunity to do it."
"Did Olivia get one too?" That was a good question Charlie.
Harrison shuffled over towards the romance book which still sat in the corner. "Yeah she's got the same note as us."
"So Beth actually warned us that one if us was going to die soon?" Charlie commented working things out in his head.
"I'm kind aren't I?" I asked not really wanting them to respond.
"That's one of the ways I didn't think of describing you." Taylor mumbled but loud enough so that I could hear.
"Will you send another note next time?" Mark asked; that was probably the first time he had spoken since yesterdays occurrences.
"You'll have to wait and see." Nobody moved; nobody said anything; nobody even breathed.
I didn't understand why until someone knocked at the door louder this time. Damn that person in the green scarf. She had come back to haunt me hadn't she?
The knocking came again but this time it brought a voice with it. "Please help me" a small whiny female voice called out and when I didn't reply she tried again. "Please, m-my husband... I- I..."
"You're having problems with your husband?" Where did that come from? Oh, it was me. I should have learnt from last time to keep quiet, obviously not.
"Ye-yeah" I didn't say anything but Mark looked nervous.
"What's wrong Mark?" I whispered into his ear piece
"That's my wife; she's called Tia" I couldn't say anything, I didn't need to say anything
"Can I come in?" Tia asked
"No" Mark shouted. "Tia you need to stay outside, if you come in you will most likely die."
"Mark, is that you? Are you safe?" Do I need to call anyone for you?"
"You call anyone and Mark is as unhelpful as a dead dinosaur attempting to eat rice with chopsticks." I quickly added before anyone else could say yes.
"Okay, good bye Mark, I love you please don't die, do you promise you'll be careful?"
"Yes, I promise." I listened as her feet took her away, now I also had to be extra careful to make sure that I didn't get caught. Everyone mumbled about the fact Mark had someone looking for him and nobody else did while Mark sat in the corner of the room by himself, crying.
"So... What happens now?" Charlie asked; it was a great question that could only be answered with time. When I didn't reply he continued to take charge. "So you don't have a plan?"
