I was on the look out for the most wanted criminal.  He had gotten past every trap we've set up so far.  It's like he knows us like the back of his own hand.  We recently got a call from someone that said she had seen him walking around the neighborhood, which I thought was weird considering he was running from us.  It was like he wanted to be seen, almost as if he was trying to lure us into his own trap.  But I signed a contract that states I have to investigate every call we get.  The other officers were busy on duty on the other side of the city.  I was actually the only officer that was in the police station before we got the call.
My anxiety was steadily rising as I searched around for the criminal, Harry Styles.  He was skilled - too skilled.  Sometimes, I was scared when we handled a call that was connected to him.  In just this past month we've have several officers lose their life because of this man.  He knew his way around every obstacle we had made to catch him.  If we set up cameras around a place that he had been around recently, he would take them down or find another way to get past them.  It was like he moved underground.  Like he had an underground cave that he traveled through to get past us.
I stopped in my tracks at my thoughts.  Maybe he did have caves under the road, but where could they be at.  I thought for a little bit to figure out where they would start or end at if he did.  I jumped up in excitement when I remembered that I had followed him to a building that had looked abandoned.  Maybe that was the key to all of this.  I rushed back to my car and quickly drove to the house, making sure to keep my police lights on until I got close to my destination.  I parked on the side of the road that was about five minutes away from the building.  From there I traveled by foot so my headlights on my car didn't make me known.
Three minutes into walking and I was able to see the outline of the place.  My heart raced in excitement that this might be the time we take him down.  Better yet, the time I take him down.  Before I took another step further, I turned the radio down that was hanging on the waist band of my work pants.
For years, we've been defeated by this man and it made the people that we protected in this city scared.  They didn't feel protected anymore because this criminal was so skilled.  It got to the point that we had to go back to gun training because we continuously missed every time we took a shot but yet he took every man down with just one pull of the trigger.
I took one last step so I was in front of the door.  Just as I was about to put my hand on the doorknob, I saw something that was blinking red - a bomb.  He was smart but I was smarter at this point.  I took a several steps back until I was hiding behind something that I could protect myself with.  I looked around until I found a few rocks that I could use to throw at the blinking light.
After a deep breath, I stood up and threw the rocks, positive that I could hit it with at least one of the rocks.  I quickly ducked down to cover myself from getting blown to bits.  In seconds, I heard the explosion go off.  When it was clear to move I ran to the door.  It looked like there weren't any further traps or bombs as I walked through the rooms.
Every room had furniture all over the place.  One which had a bookcase but I knew he wasn't your typical man and this was a typical hiding spot.  He put that there because he knew that if someone had made it through they would check the bookcase first, which would result to them dying because of a booby trap.  I neared the bookcase and my thoughts were confirmed when I saw another red blinking light in between two books.  I began thinking again about how this man works in his head.
There would have to be a bomb on every single piece of furniture except one; which is the one that reveals something important.  I searched around and looked at every single piece of furniture.  Not a single one didn't come with a blinking light.  I sighed and moved back to the room with the bookcase.  I paced back and forth in front of it until I could think of something.
When nothing came to mind I took a seat and stared around at the bookcase for several minutes.  That was when I noticed something next to it.  A square box in the wall.  In every other room I hadn't seen anything like that.  So I pushed it in.
Slowly the wall next to the button moved to the side, revealing a long narrow hallway.  I pulled out my gun and held it up just incase I needed to use it.  I took my first step and pushed one of the square tiles down.  Another booby trap.  But I was already too late because next thing I knew, I dropped through the new found trap and landed on the cement underneath and gradually seeping into the darkness that overtook me.
