Chapter 2

I woke up thinking how they could put up with this. I'm barely holding on anymore and I just moved here. I then thought about my dad, which made me cry. I just stayed laying in bed because I was no help to anyone but myself I thought until Liam called.

"Hey Bayley, can you come meet me and Mason at the school?"

"Yeah of course!" I said and hung up.

I was excited someone needed my help or company. I got dressed in whatever I could find, put my hair in a messy bun and grabbed my keys.

I ran downstairs to see my family eating but everyone was silent.

"I'm going to help my friend Liam." I said grabbing the door knob.

"Bayley, have you ever thought about the people who really matter? I'm not saying friends aren't important but family, us, we should be your main priority." My mom said.

It was true, every time something bad happened to my family, I was gone and wasn't there.

"I'm so sorry mom, I didn't mean to be like that. I guess I just was so willing to be friends with these kids who are like me. I was so excited."

"Come sit down and eat, then you can go help Liam."

We ate our breakfast and felt bad.

"I heard Deaton put in an alarm system in at Scotts house." I said.

"Who's Deaton?

"Scotts boss, I could ask him to do it for us?"

"Yeah that'd be nice." She said.

I finished eating and kissed Logan and Marylyn on the fore head and left.

"Hey, glad you could make it, we need help." Mason said walking out of the library.

"With what, and I ate breakfast so it took a minute."

"We need help finding the nematon." Liam said holding up a piece of paper that looked like he ripped out of a book. He pointed to a spot on the paper. "This is were it's located."

"What is the nematon?" I asked.

"A magical tree stump that was a tree and people used to go worship and sacrifice to it. That's where Parrish is taking all the bodies." Liam said

"Wait what? Parrish is taking the bodies there? When did you find out?"

"A while ago."

"I've been out of the loop."

"He's also a hell hound." Liam said walking past me and getting into the passenger seat.

I didn't even notice Mason got in the back.

"Come on, let's go." Liam yelled.

I got in and Liam told me where to go. When we got into the woods we had to get out of the car and walk rest of the way.

"So, how are you doing?" I asked Liam.

"I feel real bad for what I did to Scott. But a little part of me hates him still for letting Hayden die. But we can get over it, but I won't be able to get over her."

We walked around for little longer but we couldn't find it.

"Where the heck is it?"

"You've got to want to find." Liam and Mason said at the same time.

"Strange."

We looked for a little longer and finally Mason said something.

"Maybe you guys have to look with your supernatural eyes, your other eyes."

Me and Liam changed our eyes.

Mason looked at me and looked at my eyes, "Holy, what are you?"

"A real chimera,  werewolf, kitsune and kanima all together."

"That's amazing." He said with enthusiasm. 

I turned back around and walked a little more. I looked between this tree and saw a stump.

"Liam, come here."

Liam and Mason ran over quick and looked in the direct I was.

"What? I don't see anything. " Liam said. I moved him closer and told him to look again.

"Oh my god, you found it."

It quickly got darker.

"I can't believe you found it!" He seemed so excited.

We walked to the tree stump and I saw all the teens that had gone missing or died. I walked around and I saw Donavan. I was confused but I had other things on my mind.

"I don't see Hayden." Liam said circling the stump again.

"Was she a chimera?" I asked

"Yes, and she died and Parrish took her from my arms, she should be here."

Then I heard a gun cock and we all turned to the sound.

"Back away from the stump and put you hands up."

There was cops surrounding us. Then out of the crowd of cops Hayden walks out and says, "Yes, this is where I was when I woke up."
