Chapter 16: Frienemies

*Harry's POV*

"Hello Harry." Simon said.

"Simon?" I asked into the phone. Ha laughed.

"Yes... I just wanted to talk to you about this... Girl you're seeing." Aubrey tensed when I said his name. What the hell is going on?

"Okay what is it?" I asked.

"Put the phone on speaker." He said. Once I did he spoke. "Hello Aubrey." He said.

"Hey... Uncle Simon." She gulped and my eyes widened.

"What?" I asked.

"Aubrey's father was a close friend of mine when Aubrey was younger." Simon said.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked her.

"I may have forgotten that he was the one who mentored you guys on X-Factor..." She trailed off.

"Plus I haven't talked to her in years. Just her father really." He said.

"How do you know each other?" I asked.

"Well long story actually. But to shorten it up her father fixed up my car once and we were younger then. Before she was born. I was in America for the first time and he helped me out and showed me around." He said. "But basically I approve the relationship and that's why I called." He said.

"Uhm... Thanks Simon ill talk to you later." I said in shock.

"Goodbye Harry. Bye Aubrey." He said.

"Bye." Aubrey said and she pressed end. I leaned on the counter and processed all that just happened. Aubrey chuckled at me.

"I can't process that. How could you forget that Simon formed us!?" I asked. She shrugged.

"I wasn't a fan. I mean the girls mentioned him but it just never clicked that I knew him since I never really talk to him. But he's really close to my father so I call him my uncle." She told me.

"Eh whatever it wasn't bad news." I said waving it off and she laughed at me.

"You're right." She said moving back to me and wrapping her arms around my torso. I smiled and she trailed her fingers down my back which tickled a tiny bit but I didn't mind.

"What do you want to do now?" I asked. She shrugged placing her head on my chest. Lux came running into the kitchen all hyper and I laughed at her. I picked her up. "What about you? What do you want to do?" I asked her.

"Hungwie!" She said rubbing her tummy.

"Okay so we'll eat. Are you hungry Aubs?" I asked and she shook her head. I gave her a look.

"I'm being serious Haz don't worry about it." She waved me off.

"Okay well you take Lux. She likes to watch TV so cartoons or something. I don't know. I'll make food." I said. Aubrey smiled and took Lux walking to the living room.

*Aubrey's POV*

I sat down and Lux stood next to me on the couch. I turned the tv on and found that it came with Netflix. I shrugged and clicked on it. I logged in and picked a cartoon.

"Lux look cartoons!" I said and she moved to my lap. I chuckled at her and we watched the television intently. I picked out a movie from Disney, The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

"Really?" Harry asked leaning out of the kitchen.

"It was my favorite as a child Harry!" I said and he chuckled.

"Okay." He shrugged and went back into the kitchen.

"Cweepy!" Lux said cringing into me. I hugged her in.
