FXCKING MIDTERMS??
*CRASH*Aphmau's PoV
Where am I..?
My eyes slowly open, my gaze on a white ceiling.
What happened?
"Hello, sweetheart." It was that voice again.. Irene.
I sit up, ignoring the sharp pain. "Wh-where am I?"
"My dimension." She replies simply. "You see, I.. Made a small mistake. I only meant to transport you and your.. Husband here, but others rushed to your side, and well.. They're all here."
"Who?" I ask. I can stand up now, and I look around. A huge castle like structure lays before me, but no divine warrior in sight.
"Emmalyn, Kenmur, Laurance, William, Katelyn, Lyla.. Aaron and Garroth are here as well."
"Where are they?" I continue questioning the still unseeable woman.
"Inside. I'll take my leave now.." I can hear her smile, and there's a breath of wind washing over me.
I step inside. "Aphmau!" I look to my left, Lyla's wielding a staff, fighting off...
"Shadow Knights?" My eyes widen- Zane.
Garroth, Laurance and Will are fending him off while the others fight his minions. I join the fight, immediately asking; "Where are Emmalyn and Kenmur?"
"They went off together somewhere!" Katelyn replies before grunting. She kicks a shadow knight in the.. Place where the shadows lie. Yeah, there.
-laaaaaazy af rn just gonna WHEEEE TIME SKIPPU~~-
"I've got him, just go!" Will shouts, his sword pressing against Zane's.
"Will, I can't just-"
"Aphmau, let's go." Laurance tugs on my sleeve.
"Please." Garroth adds, looking at me with hopeful eyes.
I nod hesitantly, walking into the portal, "Thanks, Will."
Garroth's PoV
As the blinding white light leaves my vision, I wake up to the sight of Aphmau hugging.. Who was that?
"Who are you?" I ask bluntly.
"I seriously do look different, don't I?" The woman looks down at herself, "Oh, I'm-it's Zoey!"
-I decided to do the 15 yr time skip because I barely remember the old Phoenix Drop and then I have to rewatch episodes and then I CRY BECAUSE THE FEELS HURT ME-
"BRO!"
"BRO!"
"YOU'RE ALIVE, BRO!"
".....You're old." And with that two letter statement, Dante's heartwarming reunion with everyone.. died.
"You had to say that, Laurance?" I huff, slapping him lightly.
"It needed to be said." Laurance counters, crossing his arms.
Dante flashes a smug smile, "But with age comes experience. I'm probably stronger than the two of you combined."
And this is what irritates Laurance. He immediately challenges, "YOU WANNA GO, GRANDPA?"
So called 'grandpa' flinches. "RESPECT YOUR ELDERS, IDIOT!"
"Fifteen years, huh..?" There's a pressure on my shoulder, and I look over to see Aphmau's head gently resting there. It's troubling to see her like this...
"So I'm guessing you wanna see Levin, Malachi and Lumina?" Zoey speaks from behind us.
Aphmau turns, nodding eagerly.
---
"I-I'll get them, just.. stay here." Zoey stammers, opening the gates. I give Aphmau's hand a light squeeze as Zoey disappears into them, taking deep breaths.
"M-mom..? D-dad..?" I small female voice is heard. A small gasp was heard from Aphmau as a young girl walked out of the gates. She had black, silky hair, and startling blue eyes matching mine. There was a delayed reaction before realization slapped me on the face..
Lumina.
I stood shaking while Aphmau dropped to her knees.
Soon enough, a slightly older male voice spoke, "Lumina, are you o-"
The girl, our Lu, finally spoke. "I-is that.. is that them?"
Out of the gates came two boys.. our boys. Malachi, with dark, coffee brown hair and sea-green eyes. And Levin.. he was the one that surprised me the most. Almost like a twin, he shared my eye color and hair color, practically a perfectly matching shade.
"Levin.. Malachi.." I breathe, gripping Aphmau's shoulder.
There was a five foot gap between us.. I wanted nothing more than to close that gap.
It seems Levin wanted to, too. He ran up to us, hugging Aphmau and tackling me in a hug as he did so. Aphmau was crying, and I sat on the ground, gazing at my sons and wife who were conversing.
They've grown so much...
I look to the side, where Lumina was still shyly standing. (If u need a ref, just imagine a recolored Tadokoro Megumi from Shokugeki no Soma)
"Lu?" I look at her, and she gazes back. "C'mere."
She sits down in front of me, a guilty look on her face. "I.. I don't-"
"Remember me?" I ask, smiling sadly. She nods.
"I'm sorry." Her voice is gentle, yet melodic.. Reminding me of Aphmau.
"You're.. Fifteen now, right?" I ask, trying to start a conversation.
She simply nods, "Dad.." There was a pang of happiness when she addressed me as her father. "Tell me what Phoenix Drop was like.. Back then...?"
I was slightly taken aback. "S-sure.."
We sat there, conversing. Soon enough, Aphmau joined. We told stories of back then, and we laughed together.. It was like nothing ever changed. The only difference was.. My sons were men. Responsible young adults..
And my little girl... She was a beautiful maiden.
