"Faaannnnntttaaaaaassssyyyyyyy!" I called for like the bazillionth time. We had been gone for at least two hours and haven't seen the first sign of her. The moon was in the middle of the sky already. Theresa was starting to lose hope.
“FantasyFantasyFantasyFantasyFantasyFantasyFantasyFantasyFantasyFANTASYFAN-TA-SYYYYYY!!!!!” Whynot screamed. She looked at her new IF...er, I think it was Demetry? No, wait, Demtry. “Why aren't you helping you should be helping us you could at least help out a little ya know?”
Demtry sighed, crossing his arms. “You wouldn't have to deal with this stuff if you just came ba-”
“Shutitup!” Whynot yelled at him. “I'm not going back!”
“What?” I asked. “Back where?”
They ignored me. Demtry looked intensely at Whynot. “Why-not?”
I dunno if he was saying her name or asking her a question, but she ignored him and turned away.
“Princess...” Demtry began.
“No!” Whynot almost yelled. “It's Whynot now! And this isn't about you! I brought you here to help find Fantasy, so help us find her!”
“Oh, fine,” Demtry gave up...for now, then called with no enthusiasm, “Fantasy!”
~~~
“Fantasy!” We all called together.
The night was creepy now, even with the streetlights on. The wolves were howling and the crows were staring at us. I'm pretty sure I saw the flying purple people eater fly by. We were entering the bad part of town.
"Kateeeeeyy," John whined. "This place is creepy. We should go home now. I'm hungry!"
"No!" I snapped. "Not till we find her!” My stomach growled, and John looked at me hopefully.
“I...brought cookies,” Theresa said, reaching into her backpack and pulling out a zip-lock bag of seemingly normal chocolate chip cookies.
“COOKIES?!?!?” Whynot cried, grabbing the bag and ripping it open. “Did you have these the whole time I can't believe it why didn't you say something sooner why huh huh huh???”
“Because-” Theresa began, but Whynot cut her off.
“Oh it doesn't matter I'm too hungry to care!” Whynot began to put a cookie in her mouth.
“NO!” I screamed, knocking the cookie out of her hand.
“What was that all about? Why did you do that, Katey? It's just a cookie what's wrong with you!?”
“Poison!” I yelled.
“Poison what poison? This is just a cookie, Katey! A delectable cookie that you have ruined! RUINED!”
“Its a poison cookie!”
“APOISONCOOKIE!?!? Theresa, I can't believe you tried to poison me! And with a cookie! Why?! Why would you do that, Theresa?! Why would you use my true love against me?!”
“Thought I was your true love,” Demtry mumbled, but Whynot didn't hear him.
“I tried to tell you,” Theresa answered, looking at Whynot apologetically. “My cookies are poisonous. If you eat one, you'll mutate. The last guy who ate one ended up with a fish tail instead of legs and his head on his arm.”
“Why, Theresa?! Why would you abuse a perfectly good cookie?! What have they ever done to you?!”
“I don't really know,” Theresa answered, scratching her head. “I guess so no one will steal them. Plus they're really fun to make.”
