AAOOOSC! #1

Author's Note

Ello lovely reader and welcome to the world of AAOOOSC! 

Do you like athletes (hockey players specifically)? Do you like superpowers? Will then, if you said yes to both, or one, or non, then you're at the right place!

If you're wondering, AAOOOSC! stands for The Adventurous Adventures Of the One and Only, Original Sidney Crosby! 

AAOOOSC! is a +15 fanfiction series that covers the years 2013-2019.

Now, how did AAOOOSC! come about? Let's see:

Well, it was actually first a creative writing project! 

In 8th grade, I was in a creative writing class, and one of the projects I was given was to write a screenplay. Since I have just discovered about the NHL right after its lock-out of late 2012 (thankfully), I dedicated to write a screenplay about hockey players with superpowers! With the help of my brother, I assigned powers to the players I knew back then and named the series after Sidney Crosby, since he was a my favourite skater back then (I still like him now, but I have others whom I prefer than him). I started writing AAOOOSC! on April 9, 2013.

After the assignment, I enjoyed writing the first AAOOOSC! so much, that I began writing an second AAOOOSC! screenplay! Unfortunately, my notebook was stolen during my writing, so I had to rewrite the beginning. So the beginning of AAOOOSC! #2 is not the original version.

After AAOOOSC! #2, I went to, yeah, you guessed it: AAOOOSC! #3! So many ideas, so much to write about! This is also in screenplay version, including AAOOOSC! The Movie! (which is not really a movie haha), which takes place during the 2014 Winter Olympics. During my writing of AAOOOSC!, I discovered a website dedicated JUST for hockey fanfiction: hockeyfanfiction.com. I went straight away to posting up AAOOOSC! and gained more fans than I'd expected!

I continued writing up more stories, adding onto the series (and cast): How AAOOOSC! Got Started, AAOOOSC! Playoffs, and AAOOOSC!: The Mission, AAOOOSC! Universe, AAOOOSC! Future, and AAOOOSC! #10.

Okay, so that's 10 stories so far. But the thing was that they all involved just NHL players. So what if the world outside the NHL in the AAOOOSC! universe was explored?

That's where the spin-off series of AAOOOSC! comes in: AAOOOSC! & Beyond (AHL, ECHL, and NWHL), AAOOOSC!: Gulls' Adventures (AHL), AAOOOSC! Rivalry! (NWHL and CWHL), AAOOOSC! Junior Powers! (CHL, NCAA, USHL), AAOOOSC! United (all of the leagues combined).

But of course that's not enough, so I decided to write two more bonus AAOOOSC! stories: AAOOOSC! Wheatie Bits! and AAOOOSC! Exposed.

At the moment, I am taking a break from the AAOOOSC! series to focus on other stand-alone original stories. But I am considering returning to the universe for another story taking place during the 2019 NHL All-Star Weekend.

As you go deeper into the AAOOOSC! series: you'll notice two things: 1) more characters will be introduced and 2) the writing itself will be highly improved. Every writer improves and throughout the series, my writing has improved tremendously!

But AAOOOSC! does not only feature hockey players: it also has football, baseball, basketball, and soccer players! But the characters will be mainly hockey players!

Now, the personalities of the characters in AAOOOSC! are far different (or pretty close) to the actual athletes. This is because I based the personalities of the characters on their LOOKS, not how they actually act in real life. Therefore, if there's a character in AAOOOSC! you have disdain toward, that disdain might go away since the character acts differently than the actual athlete! I have personal testimonies, trust me, it works!

Also, for those who like to imagine what they're reading like a movie, AAOOOSC! is meant to be envisioned as a CGI-movie. If you don't know what this is, just think like how Frozen is like: cartoon, but with realistic features! The only exception is that AAOOOSC!: Gulls' Adventures! and AAOOOSC! Wheatie Bits! is to be envisioned as 2-D animation, like Star versus the Forces of Evil.
