I tried my hardest to pull Darcy the other way and find another way home but I was too weak. Just my luck, Darcy decided the best place for him to mark his territory was right in front of Chris's car another model I didn't recognize. I waited awkwardly on the sidewalk and prayed Darcy didn't take a dump and that Chris wouldn't look up from his make out session and see me. We lived in a busy city but the street was pretty deserted for a Saturday night. Chris must've known this; otherwise he wouldn't risk being caught by anyone. I was tempted to take a picture and show Becca but if he saw me it wouldn't be good for anyone in this situation. I took the chance, because at least then I'd have proof. It was dark out but the streetlight was enough to get his face and his lips connected to the other person's. I couldn't even tell the gender from the way their head was turned, never mind who it was.

Darcy began to bark when he was finished and I wasn't moving. I bit my lip softly, but went home without officially deciding what to do about Chris; I had the picture, the only thing left to decide is whether or not I'd show it to Rebecca. Once home, I called it a night despite the fact that I had nowhere to go the next day. I didn't go to church so my Sunday's were always free. I wanted to work to preoccupy my mind but it was the one day I was forced to take off. I called Thomas around noon, when I felt energized enough to finally leave my bed and he met me at our usual lunch spot. It was pretty empty. The only other people inside were two older men sitting at the bar and a small family in the corner.

"I need your advice on something," I started once we ordered.

"On Rebecca?"

"No!" I answered too quickly. "No, it's just something I-I was watching on T.V. last night."

"Right." He chuckled.

"Right. Well anyway, this guy was out running like he did every night and he saw something he shouldn't have when he stopped to tie his laces. The question of the night was if he should tell this girl what he saw even if it would hurt her, because it was the girl's boyfriend cheating. He thought maybe it would be okay if he said something because he had picture proof."

"Where channel was this show on?"

"ID," I stated, naming the first channel I could think of that would be plausible.

"That investigation channel?" I nodded. At this point, we both knew I was lying. "Let's pretend for one second that this isn't on a show and apply it to Rebecca. What's the situation then?"

"Hypothetically, I would've been walking Darcy and I would've seen Chris kissing someone who clearly wasn't Rebecca. Somehow, I'd hypothetically get the guts to take a picture of them. Except now, I don't know what to do with it. Hypothetically."

"Hypothetically you should show Rebecca. If I was getting cheated on, wouldn't you tell me?"

"Yes I would tell you, but this isn't the same thing. It's different with Becca."

I paused as the guy brought out the food. The best part about the place was that all the meals on the menu were $20 and the taste was worth a lot more than that. It was one of my favorite places to eat and the reason why this was my go-to when I hung out with Thomas outside of Rizzo's. I've tasted everything on the menu at least twice.

"Becca? You're on the nickname stage with her now? Wow." He laughed and I threw my wrapped straw at him. He bent to pick it up and I managed to steal his.

"Yes we are." I smiled a little to myself. It was a small step but it was a step farther than where we were before, when I could only say her order to her and couldn't form full sentences.

"I don't see the difference Parker. Cheating is cheating. What's the worst she could think of you for telling her that her no good boyfriend was cheating with actual proof?"
