*Mckenzie's P.O.V.*
I woke up to silence. I've learned to fear the quiet because this family is always loud. I shot up from bed, walking downstairs. But when I got downstairs, everyone was sitting in the living room, reading quietly. "Klaus, why are you so quiet? It's not normal." He closed his book, "You were asleep and we didn't want to wake you. Especially after yesterday." I sighed and walked to the kitchen. I already had a slight bump and it was kinda pissing me off. I want to be a mother, but why do I have to get fat first? Ugh, men have it easy. I grabbed a bowl of Cheerios, taking it to the table. I ate slowly, taking my time to stare out the window. I could feel Klaus' worried stare on me, but I ignored it. I'm not a baby, he needs to learn that because he acts like I'm going to break by going down the stairs. I am sick of being treated like a fragile child. I understand he loves me and I'm carrying our child but I just want to be treated like an adult. He got out of his seat, coming over to wrap his arms around me. "What are you thinking about?" I sighed, "You.... The baby.... Life." "Well, I am taking you to dinner tonight. There is a dress on your bed, Davina picked it out. She is sneaking over later to help you with your hair and makeup." I smiled at him, seeing the man I love beneath the harsh protective armor he has had on since we left Mystic Falls. "I love you Niklaus." A smile appeared on his face, "I love you too." I walked up the stairs, his eyes never leaving my body.

Davina did my hair and makeup, before pushing the dress into my hands and shutting me in the bathroom. The dress was a beautiful blue green that thankfully made me look thinner. "Davina, since you are a witch and all, is there any way you could find out what the baby is. I just don't want to keep saying 'it.'" She nodded, there is a witch that I will allow to do the magic for this one thing. She can figure it out." I thanked her before hugging her tight. We walked downstairs, my eyes going straight to Klaus. He looked handsome as ever.

But he looked somewhat nervous

But he looked somewhat nervous. And I think I know why. It made me nervous. He noticed and tucked the nervousness down, walking over to me with a smile on his face. "You look beautiful, love." A blush spread across my face as I looked down. "Thank you. You look very handsome yourself." He used his finger to lift my chin up, making me look at him. "Don't look at the ground when you blush, I quite like it." I smiled slightly, "So where are we going?" That mischievous smirk was now on his face, making me want to know even more. He picked me up bridal style and vampire sped us to a restaurant. "Was that necessary?" He nodded. I looked up at the sign and smiled. "Rousseaus, really? I would have thought you were taking me somewhere a little more fancy. But this is perfect. I hate super fancy places." We walked in and sat down at an empty table, ordering our drinks. Of course, I had to get water. Klaus didn't realize that he is an open book to me, he is still nervous.
