Thoughts

Phoebe and her best friend Cindy came up to us looking very unhappy.

" Hey hey hey! Why didn't you tell me you were going on a date?" Phoebe begins, winking at me.

"ughh, It's not a date" I groan. So much for her getting mad at me for being here; but I guess that's a good thing.

"Yeah Phoebe, it's not a date" Miranda joins. I look over at her and she's winking at Phoebe and Cindy.

"How do you know my sister?" I ask Miranda.

"Sister?" Finn whispers so quietly I almost missed it.

"Who doesn't know Phoebe and Cindy? They're the biggest troublemakers of Hogwarts" Steph grins.

"I'll take that as a compliment" Phoebe and Cindy say at the same time.

Then Phoebe looks at me seriously and pulls Miranda and I to the side, "No, but for reals, I got something going on in a few days so, I'll tell you the plan on Thursday" Who knows what she was talking about, she always had weird stuff for us too do, "It's going to be crazy. But anyway, you both should go back to rest, tomorrows your first day of third year classes"

"You've got class too!" I protest.

"I'm going back to sleep too, probably" She turns back to Cindy who was chatting up the guys, "Hey, Cin, let's go. I told them everything"

"Told them what?" Steph asks, nosily.

"Don't worry about it" Phoebe quickly snaps back.

"If you never try, you'll never know" Miranda laughs back at Phoebe.

"I didn't ask. Night guys" Phoebe grins one last time and walks back to wherever she's planning on going with Cindy.

"Your sister's pretty cool. She really helped me out when I started playing quidditch; it's how we met" Miranda brings up.

"You play quidditch?" I ask.

"We all do" Finn answers for her, "It's how all of us became close"

When Miranda and I were back in our rooms, Becky, Taylor and Alison were already fast asleep. I said goodnight to Miranda and curled up into my bed. It felt different from back home, in a good way. I decided that going to a school far away wasn't going to be such a bad idea.

The moments of the day flashed into my head again, replaying before I fell fast asleep. I could feel my self drift away, and was out.

Suddenly, I was in the theater we found again. That monkey bird creature swooped out of its cage and sprang forward towards me. My feet were glued to the ground and wouldn't budge. Move feet! Why won't you move! I was going to die and I never even had my first kiss yet. I look back at the deep indigo eyes that were glowing, coming closer to me, and I squeezed my eyes shut.

When I opened them, I wasn't in the theater, I was in my new bed at Hogwarts. I grab my phone that was charging on the nightstand next to me and check the time. 6:00 A.M. Still had time to sleep.

I let out a deep breath of air and wipe my hands on my comforter. Breakfast was at 8:00 and classes didn't start until 10:00, but I really didn't feel like I could get anymore sleep. The dream replayed in my head again and I shivered. Creepy, I wonder what that monkey bird thing is. I got up and went toward one of the windows in our room. There was a little area you could sit in and look out at the view, from where we were I could start to see the sunrise coming up.

I really didn't want to think about what Phoebe was planning for me in three days. She always made me do weird stuff with her, or made me do weird stuff. Not that I didn't mind, but for once I was nervous as to what people might think of me. Like Finn. I didn't want him to know how weird my family and I were actually. But I also kind of wanted him to as well. Ugh, why do I even care what a stupid boy thinks.

Abruptly, I saw Alison start to get up and after the rest of the girls. I knew it was time for breakfast and somehow my thoughts made time go by really fast.

"Good morning!" I cheerfully say.

"It is not a good morning" Miranda replies, grumpily changing into her uniform.

"I agree" Taylor yawns.

"It's not that bad" Alison starts, "we're going to have to get used to this sooner or later" She was already dressed and almost ready to go eat.

"I don't think I'll ever get used to this" Becky makes a grotesque face; she's still in bed.

Alison grabs her pillow and runs to Becky and smacks her on the face with it, "Wake up! Let's go eat and have a great first day of school!"

"Like you actually believe that" Taylor giggles.

Once we all put on our uniforms and get ready for the day, we head downstairs toward the dining hall.

"Hey Summer?" Alison comments, walking closer to me.

"What's up?"

"Miranda told me you like anime, and I was wondering if you want to go join the anime club with me, it meets every Wednesday"

"I'm so down!" I jump in the air really high and excitedly.

"Cool! I didn't want to join by myself since none of the others like anime as much as I do"

"I LOVE ANIME!" I shout probably a little too loud.

Taylor starts laughing and goes up to a random group of guys she sees and screams, "I LOVE ANIME!" One gets startled and punches her slightly and she kicks him back. We all start cracking up.

"I LIKE YOUR BACKPACK" I join in, speaking in my old man's voice.

"IT'S VERY NICE" Becky continues. I'm glad I could be my weird self with them.

We're all laughing and I could feel someone staring at us. I look to my right and see Finn; and he totally saw the whole thing because he was smiling his charming smile again, looking right at me.
