"Where are you?"

"Are you okay?"

"We need to talk."

"Why are you ignoring us?"

"Want to hang out today with us?"

"We're worried about you."

"We need to talk."

"Alyssa? Hello?"

My phone buzzed every second, letting me know that my friends had texted me. This has been going on for two weeks, me ignoring them. During the first week everyone had noticed what I was doing. I want to text them back and go to them and tell them, but then I remembered about that day where my secret was almost exposed and I stay back. I have to stay here for their safety and theirs as well.

I groaned in annoyance as my phone buzzed again and turned it off. I threw it on the side table and sighed. What to do? What to do? I got up and walked to the porch. There was a medium sized pool and there was a hedge fence around the backyard and porch so no one could see me. I looked around for a minute before getting into the water.

I swam laps around the pool for who knows how long. I smiled at the nice, cool water flowing against my bright skin. The warmth of the sun rays as they shine a reflection on the water, making the water and my tail shimmer. For once I was finally able to truly relax. After a couple more minutes I surfaced for air. I took this moment to look around the outside of the house.

The house was nice. There were chairs and tables along the pool with big bush trees and hedges around the area to give privacy. I also saw a little flower bed in the corner with all different types. Butterflies and bees were flying around gathering food and pollen. It was truly beautiful. The house was painted white with a sliding glass door leading into the interior of the home. I'm so glad that I got enough money to live here. After all of my family had died, I went to an orphanage for two years until I turned eighteen. When I got to 18, my family had an inheritance for the person who is the last remaining of the family name. I ended getting the inheritance on my eighteenth birthday, which was so much money that I couldn't even tell you. So I went house shopping and bought the soonest plane ticket to Australia to begin a new life. I still have the money, but I put most of it in a bank and kept some of it in cash with me.

I floated on my back and let the sun warm my skin. I know that ignoring your friends is not a good thing to do, but right now I'm glad I got this solitary moment to relax and think clearly. Maybe I should tell them about me. Then maybe their questions will be answered. But what if I told them and they were already over the scene that happened in the café? Then it would have been for nothing. I sighed in frustration.

I just don't know what to do right now. Maybe coming to Australia was a mistake. Maybe I'm not ready to be on my own just yet, in the world. But Australia's so nice compared to London. And if I go back to England, then there would still be nothing there for me. Hopefully it will all seem clear to me soon. For now I just have to ignore and avoid everyone for a little while longer.

Sorry it's a little short. Had no other idea for this chapter. If you all wanna help me out with some ideas for more chapters to come, that would be fantastic! That's all for today. See ya later!
