"And over here you'll see the training grounds for our army," Alec said while we rush through yet another hallway. Ever since I got up he's been showing me the camp. All of sudden he stops. "Before I show you where you'll be sleeping," he says, grabbing my arm, "I think you should meet someone." He pulls me up to a large wooden door at the end of the hall. Alec knocks on it before opening it, stepping in front of me.

I look around to take in the room. The room was huge with a king sized bed in the back corner with a living room to the left. To my right I could see a gigantic table with a bunch of papers scattered on it. Right next to it was a middle aged man. He had dark graying brown hair with grey piercing eyes. The woman next to him looked the same age, with honey blond hair and warm green eyes. They both looked very stressed.

"My king," Alec says, getting the old man's attention. "I would like you to meet Rose, the savior." Alec motioned for me to come in. Before the man could say anything he was interrupted by another voice. " Hmm, so you're the savior." A young man walked towards me and stopped directly in front of me. He had white blonde hair and the same piercing grey eyes. He looked me up and down before sighing. " I thought she would be taller," he said then walked away.

Anger surged through my veins. What a jerk! I'll just let it slide. The king looked at the young man with disappointment. "You must excuse my son. Let me introduce myself. I am King  Roger and this Queen Kennedy, and you've already met my son, Malcolm." The Queen took my hand and shook it. " Please, just call me Kennedy. You must be so confused. I know this is all so sudden but we are here to help." I was very surprised by how kind and down to earth she was. " Thank you. This is still very strange to me but I will do anything to get my father back. My mother and-" Oh my god. My mom! She must be worried sick!

"Is everything all right, dear?" King Roger asked. "She's probably exhausted from the overload of stupidity running through her brain," Malcolm muttered. I was too concerned to say something back at him. "What about my mother? She'll find out I'm missing and that would kill her." "Don't worry, I slipped her a potion that will put her in an eternal sleep until you return," Alec said behind me. " Boy, you sure know how to comfort someone. Now I have to save two people," I say sarcastically.
"You've probably had a long day. Alec will show you to your sleeping quarters. We will talk logistics tomorrow," King Roger said. " Good riddance," Malcolm murmured. I gave him one last glare before walking out with Alec. Once we were a good distance away I nudged Alec. "What's  his problem?" I asked. "Who's?" He replied. "Malcolm's!" " Oh right," he said,"Malcolm was supposed to be king but we were soon taken over. When he found out that there was a savior he was happy. For a second. Malcolm realized that everyone would worship the savior, not him. He's resented you ever since. He would've made a terrible king anyways." Alec said while smirking.

I started to giggle. Then Alec started to act like Malcolm and my giggle turned into a full blown laugh. I kept on laughing until we stopped at a big set of doors. Alec opened them and said,"Welcome to you room." Holy crap! The room was enormous with a desk to my left and a big dresser. To my right was a four-poster bed and a little bathroom door. "We thought you should have a private room since a lot of people will wanna meet you," Alec said."If you need anything I'll be in the room next to the training grounds." Alec left, leaving me in the gigantic room.

I picked up a tiny clock to see what time it was. It read 10:45. Wow time flies. I went to the dresser to find neatly folded clothes and my phone on the top. I fished out a pair of cotton pajamas before going in the bathroom for a shower. After I was done I walked around to explore the rest of my room. I opened up my desk to find a bunch of blank parchment. On the top  of the desk was a lamp and a quill with ink. I miss my sharpies.

I picked up the quill and started writing on the parchment. I thought I should probably start writing accounts of my time spent here. My history teacher would be so proud! By the time I was finished the clock read 11:45. I cleaned up the desk before hopping into the giant bed. The smooth satin sheets covered me as I closed my eyes.

The bed felt like I was on a cloud but I still couldn't sleep. I kept on thinking about my family. What if I fail? What if my mom doesn't wake up? Everyone is counting on me. It's just too much. My head was swarmed with all these thoughts. I couldn't take it anymore!I jumped out of bed and grabbed my phone. I unlocked the shattered smartphone and clicked on the photos. The face that stared back was of my dad. I had most of my mom's traits but my eyes were my dads. "I don't how," I thought to the picture," But I will see you soon." Finally, out of exhaustion, I fell into a dreamless sleep.
