I wake up to hands shaking me lightly. "Rise and shine, sunshine," I hear Alec's voice."Mmmph. Go away!" I mutter. Alec steps back a says a little louder,"Wake up!" "Leave me alone," I say a little louder. Before he could say anything else I chuck a pillow at him."Boy, you sure are stubborn I hear him say. A series of footsteps follow before I hear what I think is a bathroom door. I peek my head above the covers to see Alec with a bucket of probably cold water. "Ok, ok I'm up," I  almost scream."Even if you're the guest, you still have to get up," Alec says. "I'll be outside when you're ready." I give him a fake smile before he walks out.

After a couple of minutes, I walked out to meet Alec. "Good. You're ready." He smirks. "Are you hungry." I just then realized how famished I was. My stomach grumbled in response followed by a blush. "I'll take that as a yes," he says,"I should warn you once we get there, everyone will crowd around you." We walk down another hall before he says,"Get ready."

"Get ready for what?" I ask, but I was soon interrupted by a swarm of voices. Everywhere I looked saying things like,"Oh my god it's her,"or,"We're all saved!" Alec had to push through the paparazzi just to get our breakfast. While the cook was making our orders, he glared at everyone to back off. "Do you wanna go eat somewhere else?" Alec asked. I nodded profusely as he got our food.

We ended up going back to his room where he would discuss our plans for today."Most of the people you saw at the cafeteria was just commoners. You won't be ambushed by everyone," Alec grumbled. "Well that's a relief," I replied. Alec's was surprisingly tiny than the others. It was the size of a small dining room. I relished the taste of bacon and eggs while Alec kept talking. "Ready to go?" He asked. I looked up from my food to stare at him quizzically."Where?" I asked."I plan to take you to King Roger to talk. Then we'll start your training." Alec replied calmly.

"My what?" I said. Alec ignored my question and instead got up."Come on, we have a long day ahead of us." Before I could finish my breakfast, I found myself walking down the hall. We finally stopped at the king's door. Alec knocked before walking in, with me in tow. Everything looked the same except there was no conceited prince."Hey, where's Sir Hot Head?" I whispered to Alec.He looked at me questionably."There is no one here by that name." he replied.

"I think she means Malcolm," the queen said with a smile on her face. Immediately my face turned red."Don't worry," she said, "He can be like that at times." I looked behind her to see the papers the king was going through. Most of them were maps with battle strategies hastily drawn on them. "What are those ?" I asked as I pointed to the papers. "This," the old man said, "Is our war."

Alec handed me a folder that was the size of a small dog. "We need you to go over this before you join the war," he said. "I can't join a war!" I spat out. Suddenly my mind wasn't in control anymore. "I can't just waltz into YOUR war.Have you seen me? I'm scrawnier than a bowl of noodles! I can't believe you just want to control me so you can have your way. I just came from a different WORLD! I won't -" I was soon cut off by Alec marching me out the door.

Alec shut the door behind him. I was about to say something but he soon cut me off. "You had no right of doing what you did in there. I have no idea what you're going through but not everything is about you.You may be the 'chosen one' but you're going to be treated like everyone else.  You should also know that whatever you're going through, someone always has it worst. Everyone in this building has had their own problems. When the kingdom fell, people went through horrific things. I went through terrible things. I'm sorry but that's the truth so live with it."

I was so surprised that I barely heard the last part. But I did. I wondered what he was talking about but I decided that I shouldn't push it. For the rest of the walk Alec didn't say a word. I didn't even know where we were going. For about 10 minutes it stayed until we approached a door. Alec opened the door so I could see what was inside. I could make out what was a big room filled with boxing equipment and what I think was a sword.

It was the biggest room here, so there was about 100 different people all doing the same thing. Preparing for the war. I was still gawking until Alec walked past me. "This is the training room. You will spend most of your days in here until you're ready to fight. I will train you but for now I will show you around." He was obviously still angry at me. Heck I was angry at myself.

Alec started showing me the works. I couldn't pay attention though because I could feel everyone's eyes on me as I walked . On girl actually gave me a sympathetic smile. Alec was talking about who knows what but something caught my eye. It was outside and I  saw familiar dark clouds approaching fast. Before I could do anything I heard the big boom followed by glass falling on all of us.
