As usual, we stealthily moved through NYC on our way to the Foot HQ. Despite my newfound hatred for Alexis, I didn't want her dead. Ok, I don't hate her. I just really want to. But yeah, I don't want her to die. I could never live with myself.
"How will we get in?" Leo asked Donnie, knocking me out of my thoughts. Donnie looked at him.
"I'll do what I always do." He said, working with his tech-nerd equipment. "I'll hack into the security system, shut it down, and we'll go in and crush any foot soldiers that get in our way." Leo nodded and as did I.
"Sounds good to me." I mumbled. Donnie worked his tech magic and got us in. We tracked all the way to the room in which Karai is killing Alexis. We busted through the door and what we saw made my eyes sting. Karai was choking the life out of Alexis and it looked as though it was happening fast. Karai looked at us with a devilish grin, and with one last tight squeeze of her hands, threw Alexis against the wall. I screamed with pure anger and agony and whipped out my sais and attacked Karai.
"Your girlfriend is dead, killing me isn't going to change that." She laughed as she blocked my attacks. I growled.
"Leo! Take Donnie and Mikey and go keep any soldiers from coming in!" I yelled. He nodded and they took off. I kept fighting Karai. I sliced her arm and she yelped but kept fighting. After I grazed her a few more times, I finally caught her off guard. With that opportunity, I stabbed my sai straight into her chest, and judging by the quick flow of blood, I hit her heart. I took it out and kick her down and crushed her ribs and, probably, her lungs. As Karai lay there dead, I approached Alexis' limp body. I sat down beside her. I picked her up and put her head on my lap and cried softly. My true love was gone and it was my fault. Leo, Donnie, and Mikey came back after they did what they had to do and approached me slowly.
"Raph?" Leo cautiously muttered.
"It's all my fault..." I whispered. I looked up at Leo. "I didn't even try to talk to her about it. I let her go.." Leo put his hand on my shell.
"She's strong willed." He said. "Nobody could have stopped her." Donnie and Mikey nodded their heads in agreement.
"Raph.." Donnie said quietly. "I've got something to tell you.." I looked at him.
"What?" I asked, the tears still spilling. He looked down for a moment.
"Before Karai grabbed her.." he started. "She told her to kill her, that's she'd be doing her a favor." My eyes widened.
