"Did you eat?" Mom asked.
I nodded although I hadn't. I didn't want to eat.
I came back home for the weekend and would go back tomorrow.
"What did you eat?" She asked.
"Woh bus, jho fridge mai tha,"I said.
"Fridge was empty,"she said.
Oh busted.
"Tell we what's going on,"she said.
I went on and told her everything.
"She doesn't even remember how much I love her,"I said defeated.
"Then remind her,"she said.
"You are saying it like it's the easiest thing to do,"I said.
"Give it a chance. You are going to have to start from square one again,"she said.
"Ya, I know that," I said.
"Good luck,"she said and left.
I just buried my face in my pillow and let sleep take over.
