Megan and I left shortly after my moment of confidence with Blake. I hoped that our swift exit left him yearning for more. I then spent the rest of the weekend watching films and being lazy, it's always the best way to spend a weekend.

That brings us to present day; Monday morning. Students worst enemy.

My first lesson of the day was Music. My class had a variety of people, some were confident, outgoing and talkative, others were shy, intimidated and listened rather than spoke, but we we all shared one thing; our passion for music.

Fortunately I shared music with Siobhan, so unlike in English where I sat alone, Siobhan and I sat together a couple of rows from the front. Our teacher had announced that she had some special guests coming to perform for us today which had the class chatting animatedly about who it was. Words flew around the air but the most common to be heard was 'It's Exposed Youth, it has to be!'.

Exposed Youth. What kind of name is that?

The class soon became quiet as the band entered. The band consisted of a drummer, a bassist, a guitarist and the lead singer who also carried an acoustic guitar on stage. They were all boys. I was watching the band intensely as they set up, perfecting the sound limit and making sure it was all tuned accordingly. The band had that indie edge to them, wearing a mixture of leather jackets and denim jackets, plain t-shirts and slim jeans.

"Hi, we're Exposed Youth. This song is called; The Glorious Dead." The lead singer spoke calmly into the microphone. Shortly after an electric guitar filled the eerily quiet room, followed by bass guitar and drums. The floor was vibrating due to the impact of the guitars, the low, quirky voice of the singer danced around my ears and my heart was beating the same upbeat tempo of the song as his soft, brown eyes held me captive. Blake's eyes to be precise.

If you thought just looking at Blake made my knees go weak, imagine what he does to me when he sings.

Blake's lips moved with precision, his tongue escaped every so often, and his hands wrapped around the microphone stand, gently. That is one lucky microphone stand. The lyrics were powerful and full of depth, Blake's eyes would close every so often as the meaning of the lyrics seeped into his body, and then when he opened his eyes, all traces of the former bad boy had disappeared, and in front of me stood a vulnerable, mis-guided boy. My heart leapt at the sight.

They sang a minuscule total of 3 songs, however they were all very contrasting. The last song was acoustic, which Blake took control in playing the only instrument needed; acoustic guitar. The rate he plucked the strings at was amazing, the melody was soft and refreshing. Then in came the voices. All 4 boys in the band entered in unison, however their voices were at different pitches. The room had fallen silent as the voices slotted together in harmonious tones leaving us all in awe.

Observing Blake emit such passion left me speechless and a timid smile broke out on my face as my eyes found themselves absorbed in Blake's.

Sigh. This boy was too good-looking for his own good.

As the set came to a close, we were told that this years assignment was similar to the battle of the bands. We were to form bands, and fight for a chance to work with Exposed Youth. The band would teach us how to set up our gear properly, how to perform, how to write songs, what to do in the recording studio and how to land our own gigs. But the best part, we would be their supporting act for their biggest concert of the year. The venue held over 5000 people, it had been played by the likes of Mumford and Sons, Ben Howard and Paramore. It was the best venue in the city.

I had to win this.

"Hey." Blake was leant against the door frame outside my classroom, looking incredibly gorgeous.
