As a 21-year-old senior in college , you'd think I have some sort of idea what I'm going to do with my life. But in reality , I have no clue what to do.
For two years now I've been a Journalism major, which has probably been the first thing I have truly decided for myself.
"Adri , wait up !" screamed Nicole , my drop dead gorgeous best friend, from across the campus courtyard.
Embarrassed , I sighed deeply and put on my million dollar smile.
"Hey babes, I was just about to text you." I said .
Out of breath, she said, "Sure you were . Anyways, I've been trying to find you all morning. GUESS WHAT?"
"What?" I said as I looked down at torn up boots.
"So Professor Choi, pulled me aside from class and told me about this study abroad program somewhere in Asia that is focused for radio producers and you know I'm all about that , and I don't want to go alone -"
"No!" I quickly muttered.
"See , I had a feeling you say that but I have an offer you can refuse. You see , you still owe me a favor for landing you and internship and this is it, just apply." Nicole continued
"Wow, you're really pulling that card on me right now?" I said annoyingly.
"Yes, and don't worry I'd knew you'd end up saying yes so I filled one out for you , all you gotta to us sign. So here. " she exclaimed and she shoved the paper in my hands.
"Just read it over and write a paragraph about how you want to travel and shit." Nicole said as she started to walk away towards another building.
This is what I get for being her friend.
Later that night , after I had gotten some assignments out of the way, I decided to look through this application .... Just for fun.
Hours later that fun, lead me to write a paragraph and then next thing I knew I had completely something I knew I'd regret.
I grabbed my cracked phone and quickly texted Nicole.
Messages :
Adri: Hey .. So Idk what happened but I finished the app
Nicole : NO WAY YASSS.
Nicole : Seoul here we come!
Adri: Wtf is Seoul ?
Nicole: Seoul , South Korea ...
I'm going to Seoul for a semester , cool.
