Chapter 11 - Complicated

Adriana POV

"Let's be friends."

He just wants to be friends, there's nothing wrong with that , right?

It's been about a two weeks since I've been in Seoul and I still kept thinking about what Jackson had said.

I had been brushing up on my Korean and thankfully I can now order my own coffee now. I've been drinking coffee way to much lately that I even stopped going to the cafe.

Tonight I decided to lock myself in my room and study for my language exam that our group was going to have . After having my mindset on passing , I started getting sleepy.

Maybe you need coffee to stay up,

Wait no.

YOU DON'T NEED IT .

"Adri, come on and get dressed . We're going out." Nicole said as she barged into my room. She was dressed in a white blouse , jeans and black boot heals. Her straight blonde hair fell perfectly off her shoulders. I never realize how pretty she was, I was instantly jealous.

I was cuddled up on my bed, with notes laying everywhere. I had been super comfortable and I had no intention of changing from my sweats.

"I'm not changing, we have a test tomorrow ." I reminded her.

"Yeah I know, but this is the last time we'll be together as a whole group before Hong Kong." She stated, as she ran through my closet trying to find me
an outfit.

"Plus , you haven't even really spent time with our roommates." She added

"Celebrate what? " I asked

"Our first month being in Seoul! Just come out for a drink! Come on , don't be a grandma." She insisted.

Maybe a night out will do you good.

"Fine, let me put on some jeans . I'm not taking off my hoodie."

Ten minutes later, I was ready. I didn't even try to look decent. I left the house with my hair in a bun and managed to drown myself in perfume. I threw on a leather jacket over my hoodie, with dark jeans and my superstar adidas. My makeup was on fleek though.

"So where are we going?" I asked as we walked down the street to find a taxi .

Come to think of it , this was the first time I would actually hang out with our roommates/ group members in our program. In our apartment we all had our own rooms. It was obviously me and Nicole who had joint bedrooms, but the rest were Bryan, Lindsay , Mateo , and Malcom. They were all in our program, and our Korean class.

"We're meeting up with Bryan and Lindsay by a cafe! Mateo is coming too ...I think. Who knows about Malcom. They found a small bar not to far from here!" She said as she clung onto my arm.

We continued down the street and stopped by Secret Garden. Bryan was on his phone until Nicole yelled his name and waved.

Shit.

Maybe I do need coffee.

"Hey guys, Lindsay ran into the bathroom real quick!" He explained .

"Mateo was still in the shower. You should of waited for him." He added

"I invited some of the directors of our program too. They wanted to treat us out for a drink too."

"This is going to be great!" Nicole clapped as she did a little dance .

Suddenly I noticed someone inside the cafe sitting alone eating soup.

Jackson.

He was wearing the same leather jacket , and had on gold head phones. It was 10:00 so it was no surprise that he came here .

He must of just gotten out of practice .

"Nic, I'm going to run in real quick." I said, as I turned towards the door.

He looks so into his soup .

Before I could even go up to him , he had already noticed me and waved.

"Adriana! " he said as he smiled which caused him to spit out some of his soup he already had in his mouth.

Laughing , I walked over and sat down next to him.

"Nice jacket, are you copying me?" I said I nudged him with my shoulder.

"Haha no I think you are. Are you going somewhere? " 

"I'm going out for drinks with my roommates."

"Oh that's nice. I can hear them from outside." He said as he folded his arms together.

"Yup that's them . " I looked over to see Nicole and J-Hope laughing.

Why is he there?

"Well, I think I should go. I just wanted  to say hi." I said as I got up.

"Adriana, here's my number , just in case you need anything tonight . " he said as he handed me a post it with his number .

Did he already have it written?

I don't think I'll need anything

"Thanks ! I'll keep this safe." I said as I left the cafe.

"Adri, J-Hope is coming with us too! I Didn't know you were friends with such a funny guy! " Nicole said to me.

I didn't know we were friends.

"Me and Adri go way back , right" he said to me as he winked .

"I guess we do ." I smiled as I answered he came over and put his arm over my shoulder.

"Mateo is here! Are we ready?" Bryan asked .

Everyone replied and we started to walk to the bar. I had a feeling something wasn't going to end well tonight .
