Chapter three; First Date.
As Adam's office door slams shut, I turn around and face Dylan standing before the chair. My happiness is replaced with hurt and anger as I cross my bare arms over my chest.
"Dylan, they don't really care about me being on Teen Wolf do they?" I start, Dylan opens his mouth to begin speaking but I cut him off almost instantly.
"They only care about me pretending to be your girlfriend, because that's how desperate you are!" I yell out frantically, not knowing what else to say makes me storm out of the room.
"Wait, Holland-" He runs after me and places his hand on my shoulder, but I brush it off and continue walking, not wanting to hear any stupid excuses.
"I didn't know either!" Is the last thing I hear from him, and judging by the sound of only my footsteps on the carpet, he had not followed me. Good.
After making my way back to where the dressing room previously was, a sign with glowing lights holds up the name 'Holland Roden' on the door.
I smile at the bright yellow light, opening the door letting myself in. Sitting on the vanity is a whole bunch of paper work I suppose I'll be filling out tonight.
A light knock on the half open door makes me jump out of my skin, I roll my eyes as I see Dylan standing at the door with a sad facial expression.
"Would you like a curly fry?" He asks quietly, I stare at the steaming hot chips in his hands and then back up to his puppy dog eyes.
I shake my head hesitantly and look at my shoes, 'what are you doing Holland?' I force my head back up and face him, he jumps back in surprise. "Yep okay you're mad." He mumbles.
"Listen Holland-" "Save it, I understand that you just need me to be your fake girlfriend because your career is on the line. So I've decided to go along with your little stunt." I say, making Dylan tilt his head in confusion.
"I need you to know Holland, that I am just as shocked as you are about this news. I never knew Adam was going to do this." Dylan reassured, walking into my dressing room and placing a free hand on my shoulder once again.
I nod, finally convinced that he knew nothing about this. "Why would Adam care about your career, no offence?" I question, taking a seat on my chair.
Dylan laughs quietly and plays with the hem of his dark blue shirt. He shrugs his shoulders and begins eating the curly fries without another word.
"Is this even legal?" Dylan chuckles at my question, walking over to my vanity and placing the rest of his chips on the wooden desk.
"Welcome to the acting business." He sighs, tugging his now free hands into his jeans pockets and walking out of the dressing room.
I roll my eyes and slide my hand into the wrapper containing the delicious smelling curly fries, only to be grabbing at nothing.
I snatch the packet off the desk and peer inside the tiny space, gasping in annoyance as there's not one chip left.
-
After a long while of filling out paperwork and signing all sorts of contracts, I walk out of the Northridge California HQ. For the first time in forever, I breathe in the scent of success and walk towards my car.
