Chapter four; Falling.. literally.
My large eyes shoot open to the sound of my ridiculously loud alarm going off, but for the first time in a long while - I wake up to be completely happy.
The text on my phone reads:
From; Adam
Meet at the HQ and we'll discuss things when you get there.
I get up from my messy bed and have a quick shower, usually consisting of me staring at myself through the reflection of the glass in disgust. But now I stare at myself with pride as a smile larger than ever washed over my face.
After eating some sort of healthy cereal, I pack my essentials into my denim backpack and walk out to the car.
-
"Okay, now that you're both here we have some important things to discuss." Adam says to Dylan and I as we take a seat in his office. It's like déjà vu all over again.
"So you two went out last night? Am I correct?" He asks with an unexplainable look on his face. I look at Dylan with a worried expression, thinking we are going to get in trouble.
"It was all my fault Ad-" "That's great!" Adam completely cuts Dylan's sentence in half, excited that we are finally getting along.
"You guys are starting to get to know each other that's good. But remember, you can't get too attached. At one point you will have to break up and that would be weird for you two to be... You know, 'a thing'." I nod at Adam's words, hiding the disappointment I secretly feel.
"You two will be going on another date today." Adam informs us while clapping his hands in excitement.
"Meet each other at the town ice skating rink today at 1:00pm sharp." We nod and leave the office without another word.
"How did you sleep last night?" Dylan asks as we walk through the almost empty halls together, I turn to him and smile at his concern.
"Great thanks, how about you?" I ask as we pass multiple people working hard over building sets and designing costumes.
"Very good thank you. That McDonald's filled me up to the point where I fell asleep in a food coma." I laugh at his comment and play with the ring on my finger.
"Are you ready for our date today?" Dylan questions while rubbing the back of his neck with his short finger nails.
I smile and nod with an excited expression before parting ways with him in the hallway. He shares the same expression and walks away.
-
I gaze at the skating rink in amazement. It's so big, yet there is not one car parked in the parking spaces - making me frown in confusion.
Maybe I'm at the wrong place?
Then I see a blue Jeep rolling its way over here and I sigh in relief seeing it is Dylan, and I cannot believe he actually uses that car in real life.
"Good afternoon Holland." He greets with a large smile. "Hey." I greet back, the blood rushing to my face - he hardly even said anything, yet I still get nervous.
