Everyone was awake early in the morning, besides Asbar. They washed their hands and faces groggily using water from their bottles. They were using water very sparingly, because they weren't sure how long they would be there. The sun had risen quite high, and it was just starting to get hot.

"I'm.." began shad and before he could continue a soft rumbling sound emitted from his tummy making him go bright red

"Oooh, i think i have an idea what about what you were about to say " giggled Mah-rukh while the  rest smirked in shads direction knowingly

They all were hungry, so they decided to open one of the weird looking packets . Inside, there were frozen chicken legs. They looked at each other and laughed. Well there was food alright.

Sehr took out the pan from her bag, and put the legs inside it.

"I am not eating frozen raw chicken legs." Shad announced firmly.

Sehr laughed "Who said anything about eating them raw and frozen? Obviously we're gonna cook them. That's what this pan is for. We need.."

"A fire. I know." Mah-Rukh completed her sentence for her. She came up behind her, holding an armload of dry sticks. "These were lying in the sand. I think we can start a fire by lighting them."

"Sure." Shad replied "Step back everyone. A fire show is about to start!"

They smiled and stepped back a few feet. Shad held the lighter in front of him like Mahad had, pointed it towards the pile of sticks, and pressed the button. The sticks lit up immediately.

"Yeah!" Shad yelled pumping his fist in the air. The rest laughed. Sehr put the pan on the fire. Just then, Asbar walked out of the tent.

"Are you awake sleepy head?" Khizar said, teasing him.

"Yeah, but it's not my fault I slept in! Shad's snores didn't let me sleep all night! Man, Shad keep your 100cc engine's volume low next time. Please?"

"Me?" Shad replied, the surprise evident on his face. "I don't snore!"

"Yeah you do!"

"Do not!"

"Do too!"

"Do not!"

Both of them started glaring at each other.

"Ok guys! Stop it! Both of you are acting like kids." Khizar said and pushed them apart, annoyed with their glaring contest.

"Asbar, I slept in the same tent. Shad does not snore." He said, facing Asbar.

"See!" Shad exclaimed victorious.

Asbar frowned confused. "But then what did I hear?"

The rest shrugged. At last Asbar spoke up.

"Ok, I'm sorry Shad."

"No problem." Shad replied good-naturedly."By the way, you sure have a thing with words; my '100cc engine'? " He continued, eyes sparkling with humor.

"Aww c'mon!" Asbar protested grinning. "I said I'm sorry!"

"Yeah, yeah you did." Shad replied patting him on the shoulder.

"Come on all of you! Breakfast is ready!" Sehr called from over the fire.

They all gathered around. They didn't have any plates, so they just ate the chicken legs by hand.

"Guys, we need to do something about water. We have to have enough to drink, and to wash this pan after every meal."Mah-Rukh called their attention to a problem.

"How many bottles do we have left?" Sehr asked.

"Uh... About 25 all together." Khizar replied.

"Hmm.. And if we each take 2 bottles for drinking, then?"

"15." Khizar replied immediately.

"Ok. And then if we eat twice a day, and use one bottle to wash the pan each time, how long will the bottles last?"

"About 7 days. A week." Khizar replied almost right after Sehr had stopped talking.

Everyone looked at him with eyebrows raised in surprise.

"How in the world did you answer that so fast?" Asbar asked gazing at him wonder-struck.

He shrugged nonchalantly. "I paid attention in math class."

"Yeah well I do too, but I couldn't turn into a math genius like you! I was still turning Sehr's 'math problem' in my head when you gave the answer!" Shad said making a face.

Everyone laughed, and started getting ready to move out.

After folding up the tents and putting them away, they gathered everything else, and headed out. It was the second day of their adventure.
