Chapter 6:
"Name please," The man asked.
I froze.
I can't give him my name.
"Anya " Then she stated her last name.
"You" He turned to me, looking at me hard, waiting.
Then I automatically thought of the name my father used to say he always wanted to name me.
"Melisande" I said remembering how my father kept mentioning how he wanted to name me that. After his mother.
But other denied the name due to the fact it was my grandmothers name, and mother never like her.
"Very well," He said standing aside and making room for me and Anya to enter.
We quickly sped in, my heart facing,
"Are we really doing this?" I whispered to her, walking aside her.
"We are doing this, now, since we're in, loosing and have some fun!" She encouraged, smiling, walking too fast that I couldn't catch up and I lost her.
I admittedly felt uncomfortable, Then started to notice my surroundings.
Inside the castle was wide, large, and everything was golden.
In the north wall, was a stage, two chairs and a smaller one in between.
Those are the chair the King, Queen, and the Prince is going to sit.
I looked around at every who where wearing masked, everybody looked different, and I noticed that I was almost the only one in a red, puffy dress, Which caused everybody to stare, making it more uncomfortable.
I quickly left to the most far corner of the ball room.
There I found a girl in a short pink dress, and very light red hair. Swaying along to the music playing.
She must have noticed me staring for her to turn around and smile kindly, "Hello" She greeted lightly.
"Hello" I reply not to seem rude for staring.
I stood there awkwardly in silence.
"You're not from around here are you?" She asked suddenly.
"Excuse me?" I asked her, shocked.
Could she really tell?
"Don't worry, neither am I, that's why I'm way over here" She smiled, continuing swaying to light soft music that was play meant for dancing too, which most couples are.
"So, they say we're going to see the prince for the first time" She commented. Looking at me wait for a response.
"Yes," Was they only thing I said, I didn't really think about the prince being here, really the only thing I thought about was me coming here and not getting caught.
"Yes," She agreed,"That he's here in a mask, So no one would know who he is until he shows himself as the prince." She informed.
I nodded, that's really clever.
I looked around a little bit.
I noticed that there are more women alone the with a male partner.
Well of course...
"So," I began, looking at her,"why are you here?"
"I'm here because I've never been to one of these before, and I heard this one was gong to be an important one so, I came," She explained, swirling around as she did.
"I'm here because I was invited," I told her part of the truth.
"Oh," She said.
Looking past me, then tilting her head.
"I'm sorry I couldn't help but notice that man over staring at you for a long period of time," She excused with her accent showing, "he looks like he knows you."
I turned around to where she was looking at and saw him walking towards me.
I knew him as well.
