Joe and I are on the couch. He is on his phone texting someone.

"Who's that?" I ask.

He doesn't respond. I get frustrated.

"Joe, why won't you tell me who you're texting?"

Still, there is no response. He gets up and leaves me but then the scene changes. We are both on a road. Joe gets into a car and drives away. I run. I run, chasing the car but with no success in catching up to it. I fall to my knees in exhaustion and dissolve into the atmosphere.

This is when I wake up. I think through what has happened in my dream. The events made no sense to me. I've been having similar dreams to this for the past week. I haven't talked to my boyfriend, Joe about it.

I walk to the bathroom and get ready. Today is Monday, the worst day of the week. I have to be in school in about 45 minutes. Later, I get dressed in a T-shirt and shorts and head down to grab a granola bar. Then, I get into my car and drive to school. When I pull into the parking lot, there is still 25 minutes left until school starts. I decide to head to my class anyway and go over notes before class begins.

I walk into study hall, my first period class and I immediately see Joe. He looks up and smiles from the desk he is sitting in.

"Hey what's up, baby?" he asks as he gestures for me to sit next to him.

"Nothing much. Everything's fine right now," I lie.

Everything's actually been the opposite of fine. I've been getting less sleep because of the reoccurring dreams I'm having. That's why my test scores are slowly dropping. I'm so close to failing English.

"That's great," Joe replies, taking out his phone.

He seems to be texting someone just like in the dream. I refrain from asking him who he is texting. I take out my notes for the math test I have in 3rd period and skim over them. I feel Joe's eyes staring at me. I glance up at him.

"What's up?" I ask.

"Nothing. I just think you're beautiful and I really want to make plans with you today," he says confidently.

I try to hide my blushing cheeks but to no prevail. I try to refrain from smiling but fail again. We both look around our surroundings to make sure no one is in our area. The coast is clear. We both lean in and then our lips touched lightly. Joe pressed his lips harder into mine and bites my lower lip. The kiss was one of the best I've ever had.
